The Curious Case of Robbie Rayford

In America, the first attested case of HIV/AIDS is not even among the many mysterious deaths from "the dwindles", fatal cases of flu affecting various junkies and street people in New York in the 70s, now reckoned themselves to be early cases of AIDS; but in fact was found (though this has never been published in a peer-reviewed paper) in an underage black boy living in St Louis, Missouri, who died in 1969 at the age of 16. The attending physicians claim that he was obviously mentally challenged, and self-contradictory regarding his sexual orientation (one minute calling himself "the stud of all time", the next moment pretending he's a virgin, and then again claiming he only caught the disease from "the girl down the street"). When he was first examined (he was very reluctant to show the doctors his ass) it was found that his immune system was obviously wiped out; he had contracted Kaposi's sarcoma (later recognized as a tell-tale sign of AIDS, and a disease commonly found in elderly Jewish men in the Mediterranean), and moreover chlamydia had spread through his bloodstream, not remaining at the point of infection (his ass which he was shy about). He also died of pneumonia (which Freddie Mercury and many other AIDS victims died of). Decades after his death, HIV was found in his remains; but again this has never been peer reviewed. There is a good chance, however, considering this, that AIDS was being spread in the United States even in the mid 60s.
