I'm still positive that there's more to the story, and Tom probably hasn't shown up because he knows people will ask questions that he either doesn't have adequate answers to, or he's so embarrassed by what happened that he doesn't want to show his face.

I think he's either making it up to cover for something else embarrassing he did (ex. he gave his gravel to someone to sell and they ran off with it), or he was being a hysterical fucking idiot and assumed that someone was going to rob him for some reason that makes no sense outside his own paranoid, self centered mind.

Remember when he made that post, he clearly indicated that he hadn't even been home yet, so what would even make him believe his house had been ransacked?

Point is that whatever the truth is, I can guarantee it involves Tom looking like a complete idiot.
