Midnight's Edge mentioned Paramount doesn't like doing reshoots and the like (no studio does, but Paramount's been hurting for cash apparently)...

I would be significantly less interested in watching this with something that looked like Sonic in it instead of what's there currently. Either...

They could have gotten better publicity out of this if they said they slapped everyone on their design team before coming to this decision.
