Phil said it took him 3-4 weeks to beat this game. He's wondering why his viewers don't tune in to watch him play it incredibly slow with the total of 21 hours over the span of almost a month.

An average joe gamer completed this over the span of a week at leisure time. This goes right back to his Life is Strange 2 playthrough where he bitched that reviewers "rushed" through it in 6-8 hours and didn't do all the homosexual shit fantasizing about the hunky character.

Assume $100 a stream, 2 streams a day, 6 days a week. $200 x 6 = $1200 just in tips. He clears more than that on a fairly regular basis, and that doesn't include patreon, youtube ad money, superchats, or memberships.

He's genuinely bothered by this because Phil clearly wants to create the image that he has many supporters.
He admitted last night that PhilSmokesCrack is a sock account, and we've seen obvious socks, including celebrity and detractor names that Phil didn't bother to verify.
If he wants this to stop, then he needs to tell his whales to tip under one consistent name, and one name only. It does not have to be their legal name, and it doesn't even have to be their name in chat if they want to protect themselves. But with obvious socks spamming the same messages with the same tipping patterns... your audience is free to speculate that this is a fake circus. Because it is.

This is the upside with people spamming that everything is OiC, even if OiC likes it - it clearly pisses Phil off because nobody believes multiple people are left that would care to keep him afloat. Silver lining, at least.
 
Another day, another whale carries the stream. I know it rubs some people the wrong way when Phil gets tips and has enough money to cover his 3k bare minimum weekly expenses, and I agree that starved Phil is best Phil, but there's just something good about seeing a single whale carry the stream.
It's the shittiness of relying on a single paypig to sustain your mature adult life that's good to witness. This is why he's basically begging his fans to retweet his shit to get more engagement on twitter, why he's trying to hard and crying loudly over stupid subscriber goals, bitching about viewers not contributing (even a dollar helps guys). He wants to reel in new people. Even in his gin ridden brain he's gotta realize having 7 whales drop 20 bucks is better than a single person giving him 140 bucks to wear the nazi hat and the platinum vest.
I'll take the rainbows but I think Phil is seeing the writing on the wall. I don't believe there's always going to be a Tut, a Swagging or other faggots ready to pop up and save the pig when he needs it, and Phil knows this too.
I think deep down he realizes this shit is not sustainable and eventually the whales will move on, and he will be left with 200 derichs that won't contribute a single penny.

The post-bankruptcy era was Phil's opportunity to turn some stuff around, but it's very obvious with the massive influx of money he has received in the last year, Phil has refused to learn anything. He's scaled his spending to match his income and has made no preparations for the future. Phil will panic when his income dips, but at no point will he make any changes that will secure his future.

The mysterious complete disappearance of his mortgage issues this month suggests Phil just begs when he sees fit to drum up spending money. It wasn't convenient this month because he didn't hit the sub goal for a marathon and it was too close to his extra day off, so he just didn't bother. He's not planning ahead, he's not even trying to maintain narrative consistency - he'll just rattle his cup when he decides he wants more with no vision beyond the next 30 days of bills and mobile gaming. His whales are stupid and he expects they'll give him what he asks for, just as they have for the last 5 years.

When Phil finds a comfortable groove, he'll just repeat it, ad nauseum, and deem any effort to improve it or plan ahead too much effort and too much risk. We're in that groove right now, and he cannot and does not want to see past the edges. His current concerns are about his pride and appearing adored and respected, moreso than the financial danger of what he knows to be true - he's dependent on probably 3 whales, and none of them are mentally stable.

It makes me think back to an old Hulk Hogan interview. He said Jimmy Hart was his only friend so maybe that's why DSP relates to the Hulkster so much.

You guys wanna know why Phil is so excited about the new Life Is Strange and all those others walking sims lately? Because playing those games is the closest thing to a social experience he could possibly ever get.

Think about this for a second: Phil is experiencing and consuming his social life through narrative-based video games.

It’s the most pathetic shit I’ve ever witnessed in my entire life.

Watching fictional virtual characters go through their own trials and tribulations is the closest thing to hanging out with friends that he has left.

every game he plays, it's as if the dialogue is aimed at him and not between the characters, he struggles to seperate himself from the characters

You know, I kind of took for granted how unbelievably low his view counts are on his videos for someone of his notoriety; even me being a nobody hobbyist YouTuber am crushing his numbers on a per video basis.

Thinking about it, the stuff that I make is made because I want it to exist, right? Like whatever I'm making a video on I either see some kind of need, or I want to give a take on it in some way. Seeing some people looking forward to the Month in Review videos has me really looking forward to making them because producing something that people enjoy just feels nice you know?

DSP's shit on the other hand... It's just completely soulless garbage. Like I can't think of a single piece of value in it. His takes are worthless because he's an uninformed fence-sitter, he's not charismatic, he yells and begs, and he sucks ass at games. Even his music and artwork is stolen. He can't even make his own fucking THUMBNAILS.

I think I finally get what he means when he calls his YT channel an "archive" -- it's a graveyard where his content goes to die, mostly untouched and unwatched except for detractors looking for a clip through PigPigGo. No one is excited to see a new DSP video in their sub feed.

Don't forget that this is the same idiot who would upload at a minimum of 30 to a max of 50 videos per day and spam youtube with pure garbage. This is also the same moron when trying to react to his own videos(the same type of videos he deemed "garbage" by the way)he couldn't even watch it. Even if till this day if he refuses to admit it Phil knows why he did what he did....solely for profit. So every time he calls his playthroughs "meaningful content" I get a good laugh out of that...
