Random Thoughts: KiwiFarms is more tolerable than Reddit

This is probably going to be a rambling post.
KiwiFarms always has a reputation as being “The worst harassment site on Earth.” but delving into this website made me see it in a different light.
People aren’t as bad as everyone says they are, & people are honest here, regardless of whether if it’s a “Controversial Opinion” or not, it’s mostly people not beating around the bush & saying shit openly whether people liked it or not.
& I like that.
I would rather hear some random racist talk about how much he hates minorities over some dickless corporate cocksucker spout some political trite everyone hears every day.

What made me think of this was these two videos on some of the history of Reddit on how it became a fuckawful site now run by corporation & political propaganda, with fatass moderators that have a penis that is as small as their brain, & a belly as big as as a beanbag that willingly run the site into the ground with their faggot Hall Monitor mentality

On a less important note, even though KiwiFarms is meant to be a site to laugh at freaks, I actually found this website’s design pretty intuitive & actually easy to use, it’s funny in a way for a infamous forum site to have better design than other forum sites.
What point am I getting at? I’m not entirely sure, maybe it’s just I am nostalgic for that era of the internet that wasn’t as corporatized & controlled as it is today, KiwiFarms in a way kind of reminds me of that, when you could say any shit you want & not have some Clinton Administration paid moderator or CCP China cocksucker censor you

You mean a site dedicated to laughing at retards on the internet is more tolerable than some left wing cesspool who will ban you for saying pretty generic meanie words? Nonsense!

Reddit has troons that brag about how cool and valid their bloody axe wounds or inflated penises are, Kiwifarms does not. That alone should tell you which website is better.

Kiwifarms does not mask that it is a dangerous animal that will turn on you as soon as you show signs of being their prey (cowdom). Reddit pretends it isn't just as dangerous. Kiwis will halal you in the front, Reddit does it in the back.

Reddit says you can form communities you can kick anyone out of, encouraging tribalism. Josh forces us to play ball with the smelly retarded political/racial/sexuality/gender/religious group(s) we don't like or else we will be barred from laughing at cows ourselves.

This site is funded through donations, e-begging, and selling products. Reddit was at least partially bought by China and is funded through ads and microtransactions, and have to placate their userbase in happy little community bubbles to keep money flowing in instead of providing a service worth donating to.

Free speech is not being able to be the main controller of the conversation, it is to participate in it.

OP is right.

Yeah. On Reddit, or even most other websites, people will usually just insult you or complain if they disagree with you. On Kiwifarms, they insult you but then elaborate on why they disagree.

That alone is already a substantial plus. The rating system is also a nice balance between allowing people to express their feelings on a post to avoid excessive replies just patting each other on the back, but the fact one rating doesn't override the other means people don't get dogpiled as much.

And, since most people are or used to be trolls, they both can argue without becoming furious like the average Redditor, and don't take offense to any perceived slight. The biggest way to turn anybody against you here is to act overly emotional. You can be completely wrong but people will still receive you relatively warmly if you aren't flipping out over it.

Random anecdote I've witnessed: I lurk a couple fandom-related Subreddits for news and found fanart. Once, a user posted a sort of Chad/Virgin meme as a means to say "Character X is better than Character Y." A few days later, I assume a massive flame war broke out, because apparently the person who uploaded that image had posted an apology note which was stickied to the top of the feed for a few days. Without ever having used Reddit to any significant degree, this act alone told me everything I needed to know about the userbase. When you're this humorless and fragile regarding harmless topics like fictional characters, how the hell can you hope to tackle complex problems that affect the real world?

I used to hear all sorts of shit talk about this site. The usual "far right" stuff etc, etc. Literally Hitler incarnate.

When I actually dared to register an account here and saw what all the fuss was about, it was like a little piece of heaven. No, I'm not kidding. This site is like the internet as it should be. Nobody here has a much of a problem with one another unless you actively make a complete tool of yourself. You can say whatever you want, however you want, and whenever without being perma banned.

Every slur, no-no word and taboo topic you can freely discuss here without some gay ass mod who thinks they're Jesus Christ 2.0 with his dixx cut off flaunting their "authority" in your face while forcing you to smell their rancid taint is going to penalize or ban you unless you do something that's hyper, mega, uber, ultra, super, turbo retarded with an extra helping of faggotry.

I'm not even white and could care less about the big bad racism that's become next to meaningless now when you can call drinking a glass of water bigoted.

kiwi farm is just a shame website. Documents shameful shit online retards do. But in current day, ppl equating shaming to being literal nazi or isis. Weve forgotten as a society that its okay to shame people.

Cant shame fat people, cant shame retards, cant shame crazy people for doing crazy shit, cant shame faggot attention seekers for being faggot attention seekers. Shit we cant even just "tolerate" these peoples we have to accept them otherwise were X-phobic. Fuck that. Under the illusion of echo chambers and "mainstream" morality, most people are just like us. They fucknig hate fat people, they hate retards, they hate crazy people, they hate attention seekers, they hate this fucking bullshit gender shit. Kiwi farm just remove the illusion these people want to keep going. Fuck that. They should be shamed and shaming people works.

So keep on pointing and laughing at them. We need to bring back shame.

Despite often being compared to cesspools of autism like /pol/ or /b/, KiwiFarms seems to be, if anything, more productive than most 4chan boards. Most /pol/ threads are shat up by glowbotswithin minutes of creation as a CIA-backed attempt of preventing retards on the internet for doing anything actually productive. Other boards dedicated to less political, more community-driven discussion, have completely gone to shit. /v/, /b/, and even /t/ have gone off the deep and are nothing but tranny-sponsored coomer threads 24/7.

The sticker system is remarkably useful in handling discussion. People take the different stickers as serious responses, complete in their expression, without needing to clutter up a thread.

In the politics heavy A&H sub-forum, the tenor of the discussion changed dramatically after Null scaled back the stickers from the full set to the limited set. People take the stickers so seriously they took the negative ones as personal attacks, and complained to mods. Reducing the number to the two mildest ones (dislike and disagree) stopped almost all flame wars in there. Also, being unable to "farm" Winner or Semper Fidelis stickers reduced the number of grandstanding karma-farming pop posting.

I don't think I've seen other sties split up their reaction system like that. Null was annoyed enough that he made the decision on his own one day (and it bugged out for an hour while we flamed him in chat lol). I think KF has more flexibility and responsiveness to specific topics, instead of getting a one-size-fits-all automated commercial forum like Reddit. That keeps the place together, along with a tacit agreement to let different areas run differently (like the Beauty Parlor).

If you tried that on Reddit across different subreddits, you'd get screeching about discrimination, inequality, and power mods bitching until they got more power. Kind of like on Twitter, where the blue checkmarks demand other people get their checkmarks removed for political reasons.

Última edición:
Honestly bless this website and Null for putting up with all the BS to keep it going. A place where you can laugh at retards instead of being forced to capitulate to them, disagreements between users are relatively chill, and attention-seeking behavior is roundly mocked. As for Reddit, if you're still using it at this point or heaven forbid have an account there, you should immediately turn yourself in to the authorities for aiding and abetting child grooming and abuse.

Ironically, Kiwi Farms is a site that can ONLY exist because of its reputation. Being a “right wing hate site” naturally filters out the kinds of individuals that ruined the rest of the Internet and keeps the overall user base down to a manageable level.

Without its reputation, KF would rapidly decay just like every other Internet forum in the past decade.

Reddit is run by a bunch of power hungry trannies with narcassic tendencies who have a clear goal in controlling the site and it's narrative.

What was the front page of the internet is now a tranny shit show that will attack you for disagreeing with them.

Reddit, Discord and Twitter are cesspools of these like minded men in stripey socks.

I like that on here, people will reply to me and tell me precisely why my opinions are retarded. On Reddit, they just downvote you.
I think some of the small subreddits aren't too terrible.

Última edición:
Reddit's fine...

Until you say the wrong thing, have the wrong opinion, have the wrong username, talk to the wrong person, post the wrong image, laugh at the wrong thing, or generally do anything wrong...

and by wrong I mean, whatever the mod of that sub doesn't like.

and by reddit's fine, I mean, reddit is a literal pile of garbage full of faggots and whiners who are incapable of having a thought someone didn't tell them to have.

Kiwifarms though reminds me of pre-Jim hotwheels 8Chan days, before Jim let the Nazi fags take over, with less pedos. Free speech, people who have actual conversations and speak their opinions freely, people who can form a genuine opinion and explain their opinions.

Gigachad shame culture VS sissy virgin guilt culture

@KittyGremlin I think you're on to something:
Gigachad shame culture VS sissy virgin guilt culture
To post in a community you can assume is actively hostile to you takes some kind of brass balls. While shame implies we force our values on others, there's a limit where people will say "lol fat" at each other and move on unless you start going on and on and ON about it. This is a place that you're not only expected to deal with people who would shame you, but to suck it up and keep your shame to yourself aside from a few designated areas. We're a lot less personal and more self aware (a lot of people love this site but we all will include ourselves in fat autistic retards even if we're not technically these things), sometimes (autism inensifies). Or at least ENCOURAGE these things. We have user scores but they're less for status and more for quick replying and checking to see if said person is here to farm negrates/schizoposting.

I feel like the burden of guilt is carried around longer by reditors. You're not allowed to shame people, and if you do you should feel guilty. You're not allowed to disagree with upboats or unspoken rules, and if you do you should feel bad. Making people feel bad is bad, but paradoxically, deviating too much from your denominational subforum church's dogma is also bad because it makes people feel bad, making it a really strange combination of geek fallacies and old fashioned religious tribalism. Hugboxing is encouraged. Feeling bad is bad. Those who make you feel bad should be removed, and so the reddit mod bans another person.

I should note I'm speaking generally. There's plenty of circlejerking on kiwifarms, there's still people trying to farm stickers and asspats, there's still people crying over nothing and cults of personality. There is still places of actual discussion on reddit, but they're in smaller places, filled with older people just looking to talk about hobbies, or are insulated by a status. Outside of the more extreme threads, a lot of redditors try to call the cops on people who self harm or are committing crimes.
