I just really like sspaceships.

These remind me a lot of Terran Trade Authority. I spent countless hours riding the bus, imagining storylines for the derelict spacecraft.

I still have two of the original books (one in French); if I ever dig them up, y'all are in for a treat.

Fuck, I'm gonna have to get a copy of that somehow. Whatever thread sperged out about Macross was great too, got into that series and I love the oldschool scifi designs.

I know Star Wars is gay but there's one book worth getting. The Illustrated Universe has tons of concept art that is very clearly 70s sci fi inspired but none of it made it into the films. The movies didn't do a lot of the settings justice.

The concept art for older sci fi is just awesome. I'm pretty take it or leave it on star wars now, but I'll always be impressed by Ralph McQaurries art.
