People who work in that field are usually working on protecting government websites which are under constant attack from other countries and hired agencies and information leak. People who work for cybersecurity don't have spying on citizens and taking down websites in their field of work, that would be the NSA.

The only way I could see it being the CIA is if Bella is some sort of research project "participant" that they fucked up. However it's just tinfoil hat spergery in the absence of evidence. If it is the case it's 30-50 years minimum before records get released to confirm it, if they would ever be released. I think her incandescent glow is a bit too bright for that to be the case.

It's not even a low ranking CIA agent. You know that .gov sites are under constant ddos attacks, right? That's their job, mitigate the attacks on government databases and websites, if anything he's more likely linked to the FBI. Cybersecurity does not mean glowie lol.

This is why I don't dismiss the experiment theory completely out of hand. As much of a spectacle as all this has turned into for us, it wouldn't crack the top ten for things the CIA has actually done. The flip side to that is they won't hesitate to murderize the fuck out of anyone to get out from under scrutiny.

If it is CIA related I think you're definitely right about it being someone lower ranking. An unfortunate side effect of compartmentalization is that you also end up with competing factions if you aren't careful. The people at the top are purposely kept out of the loop of a lot of day-to-day operations.

It's hard to say and why I mentioned it's spergery to get too lost in the weeds speculating. Historically the CIA hasn't let the lack of a clear goal stop them from throwing some "science" at the wall to see if any cool shit sticks. If I'm sizing sources up for babies to try and turn into supersoldiers or whatever, a child of a SEAL and a pilot (later a secret service stepmom) should appear fairly promising. Genes are already on my side to get a result that's above average. Except the ball bounced out of the metaphorical roulette wheel when it was their spin. Most importantly I think the results speak for themselves, this was not a success. Parents like hers are good patriots that know sometimes you gotta break some eggs to end up with an omelette. They're they kind of people they'd take care of instead of putting them out to pasture. They'd also have a vested interest in keeping things quiet.
