Dobson is only reposting cause these ewoks are his otherkin. After all, small bears no one above the age of 9 likes.

Also, wouldn't a better comparison for Quiet be Leia in her slave outfit? Not because it is "sexist crap", but because of the following: Leia even in slave outfit is still badass enough that she kills the most sexist character in the original movie trilogy by her skills (and a chain) alone, similiar to how Quiet, after water boarding, still kills a bunch of bad guy while wearing one of the mst ridiculous things out there.

Personally I thought Dobbear came into being the following way: Once upon a time, No-Heart from the Carebears decided to create his own Carebear as a sleeper agent, because that is what shitty cartoon villains from the 80s did back in the day. So he stole a stoolsample from CrumpyBear and injected his own maliciousness into it. Unfortunately, something went wrong.

Well, they have a point. MGSV might be more awesome if Quiet was replaced with Chewbacca.

Outside of that, nah, that argument is fucking stupid. You simply can't equate the foolishness of Teddybears defeating the best imperial soldiers with sticks and stones with a somewhat improper design for a female character.

He uses that one site to put his shit on mugs and other items, but I doubt even his whitest knight has bought any of them.

Would the plot of RotJ make more sense, if they replaced Ewoks with Wookiees? Yes. Would the plot of MGSV make more sense, if Quiet had a different outfit.... Haven't played it, but I seriouly doubt it.

Sad thing is, they're the post starred (read: popular) levels at the moment.

They require no imput to play and while they appear complicated, the key point here is it takes control away from the player - actually playing.

They would be worth it if they play a song with the sound effects but they usually don't, you get that more in ROM hacks.

Obviously Dobson just wants the popularity. That and the game has a 10 level upload limit - the only way to upload more is if your levels are popular or if you've deleted your previous ones.
 
Out of curiosity and not to look like an idiot I decided to read up the article. Ironically it is not the worst thing I have ever read. Pretty much the author. who is into analyzing movies from a feminist standpoint while (and that I at least consider bonus points for her, unlike with Anita Sarkessian and such) still looking at the movies overall to rate them. The article is pretty much her explaining how she is faced with the stigmata nowadays that just because she says in certain movies something regarding the role of a female character in it, some people unfortunately interpret that already as her (or others) condamning it, although all they want to do is just point out one of many aspects/issues. Fair enough. Problem is that seeing how feminism has become sort of a caricature of itself thanks to the tumblr generation, she shouldn't be all that surprised.

The entire "Ewok comparison" is something she gives as example, because when it comes to Return of the Jedi, some people think the movie would be bad because of the Ewoks as a main complaint about it, when in reality they are just a minor annoyance in what she considers otherwise a great movie.

All I see here is a weird comparison done as tagline-bait to get people to read it, while spouting a halfway okay opinion. Dobson is now just jumping on it to say that this is now his exact same problem with Quiet and MGSV, when in reality it was always just his booty thing and he could care less for MGSV than for Aurora Shooting victims
 
Eh, Dobby's just flip flopping to whatever arguments sound good at the time. First it was a sexist costume, then it was the "fact" that Kojima lied about the reason for the costume. Now it's the costume again. The Ewok point is blatantly stupid, no one assumes a single criticism is meant to denounce an entire work unless some one or some group has a habit of doing just that. Blame your fellow SJWs, Clickbait.
 
I think what they mean is that you can find an element of a work undesirable, but not toss the entire work out the airlock. I don't think anybody in, out of, beside, or near their own or anybody's right mind could literally find the Ewoks progressive. Where do we see the ones we know to a certainty are female? Wearing the baskets with the little hand-puppet bb Ewoks in them. IIRC, the novelization describes literally every named Ewok, including the chief and the "medicine man" with the bird skull on his staff, as "he."
 
Also, what are you trying to prove by critiquing a film that's 30 years old? The franchise is still alive, but, really..... Hayes Code-era Hollywood was magnitudes worse for creating "problematic" gender stereotypes, but, nobody talks about that because it's ancient history. But Dobson is latching on to a critique that's already a latch-on.... and going home and patting himself on the back just the same for his progressivism.

Dobson is like a really shitty parasite. That is, he happily latches on to things that were hot issues long after everyone moved on from them and stopped caring. Actually come to think of it, he's pretty much behind on everything he does. I mean he just recently started making jokes about skyrim and the "over nine thousand" meme, and he apparently thinks making "jokes" (I use that term very loosely) about Jimmy Nuetron and old 90's disney cartoons is topical. You'd think he'd know that most of those are old since he basically lives online, but he has no clue. My theory is that his autistic habit of silencing anyone who doesn't outright kiss his ass and his reclusiveness are what makes him this way.
