I am a person with connections to The Big 3 and Perry Caravello Live. I have personally met all involved in all these projects and i am friends with them. I have been a high ranking member in the online "cult" we've had for more than ten years.

The information shared here is flawed and baseless of facts, if i was trying to use a thread as a source of information on Perry Caravello , i would not use this one. Perry Carevello is 100 percent worthy of the title Lolcow but this info is very bad information. I am willing to answer any questions.

Let me start with some of the easy stuff i've seen here in this thread.

I have been a Don Barris fan for over a decade, hardcore supportive, i love the man....

But hes lost it..... over time he slowly became more and more bitter about " not making it" as a comic. He grew more bitter and jealous of tony b and perry.

Jealous of Tony because he was liked more by Jimmy Kimmel.

Don is a very depressed person with issues and he tends to burn everyone in his life.... its a very sad thing to watch and come to grips with.

The Big 3 never made it because of the tension between don and everyone else. No one in hollywood wanted to work with Don because he was well known to be a bully and nutjob. He cannot maintain any kind of professional relationship.

He hasnt written any new jokes or material in decades..... He closes out the comedy store not because he is a good comic..... but because he is a bad comic, they know when don barris comes on stage its time to leave. They use him to clear the place so everyone can go home for the night.

This goes for the big 3 or the ding dong show ( his other project) he hasnt helped with any creative parts in that in a very long time, Tony doing all the creative and fan contributors doing all the work for free. Don has even resorted to having a fan ( tombstone) write the ding dong show for him.

Don has become depressed and bitter to the point where his loyal fans of decades have left because they just cant watch it any longer.

Don is the reason the big 3 never made it, he sabotaged it and took his ball away and ran whenever us fans didnt make him feel loved enough.

Years back they had a GOFUNDME to film a pilot, raising 16k. Don was not happy with this small amount and he made it known he was disappointed. From a fan club of 1500 ppl at the time we put together 16k.

He promised that anyone who donated would receive gifts and any one who wanted to view it would have to attend a fan meeting, and it would be shown to the rest of the fans at a later date.

I have it on very good authority (first hand info) that don pocketed most of the money and relied on friends contributions to complete the pilot . As he never has explained the spending of the money. MOST of the fans never received their gifts for donating. BECAUSE DON WAS PISSED WE DIDNT DONATE MORE.

I know for a fact don can share the pilot with us fans without any problem but he chooses NOT to.

now lets get to Tom....

Tom was just a fan that Perry developed a relationship with perry, perry thought he was someone he wasn't and assumed he was publicist. Tom just went with it.

Over time they got closer and closer and the role grew pretty much real.

Tom replaced Nick ( perrys handler at the time) and became the character " tomb" . He became a major part of the project and story line as well as perrys handler.

I think ive established the facts about Don barris, but as you could imagine he didnt treat perry well. ( just look up what happened to schizo surfer if you want to see what happens to lolcows that don " loves"). He was so jealous of the attention perry got that he could not maintain any kind of relationship with him.

Thats why he needed tom in the first place.

Over time Tom seen how much of an asshole don barris is and he started looking out for perrys interest.... and at the right time he branched out and helped perry do his own thing.

Perry was on disability , living in a rent controlled studio apartment, barely squeeking along for decades ( because don sabotaged everything the big 3 ever had going for them and blamed it on perry). His disability got TAKEN AWAY by the government because he had been scammed multiple times and had ALL of his money stolen several times. So they took away his disability.

Tom financially supported perry for years out of his own pocket, because he grew to care about him and love him, seeing how much he'd been mistreated his entire life by those around him. Sure, if perry and don never met perry would be dead or in prison... he would have been a much sadder story, meeting tom was just another blessing for perry.

As you could imagine fully supporting a grown man for years could get costly so Tom started looking for ways to " KEEP PERRY IN RESEDA" and not homeless.

He was a failiing standup comedian in the 90's, he was a failing movie "star" in the 2000's, he was a failing podcast subject of abuse, and then, once Don Barris had wrung him dry from every comedic use Tom B took over.

This is not to cast aspersions at Don or to White Knight for Tom: There are no White Hats/Black Hats in the Perry saga. Perry is the ur-Lolcow: He was an exceptional individual who Don Barris in the time before the Internet formed like clay into the masterpiece of Fourth-wave comedy that is the Big Three.

Windy City Heat is the magnum opus of the Big Three. The Big Three Podcast is the best source of Perry material with Don and Mole (and many guests).

When Covid happened it was the perfect storm that broke up the Big Three (for now). Perry wasn't going to come to Don's studio in West Hollywood and Don lost all his work at Jimmy Kimmel Live and at the Comedy Store in West Hollywood. Dealing with Perry was something he wasn't going to be doing. Meanwhile, Tom had been involved with the Big Three since 2015 or so and Perry trusted him as his "publicist". Tom is responsible for creating the Perry Caravello Live Stream which has managed to make Perry fiscally responsible for his own life for the first time.

In what universe does Tom B not happen? I'm not saying I love Tom but the natural progression of Perry's "career" was to become a Twitch tard. Frankly, I'm surprised he landed on his feet after losing his disability. My preference: Windy City Heat > The Big Podcast > Perry Caravello Live. My only argument would be that without Tom there would be nothing.
