As a girl, I like Quiets outfit. And if you don't like it, you can unlock very, very modest armor for her later in the game. Video games are supposed to be over the top, and the MGS series has done a good job of that. He keeps talking about jiggle physics.... I'm only about halfway through the game, but Quiets tits don't really move outside of cut scenes. It's not like they're bouncing with every step. Maybe they should focus on Quiet being a bad ass sniper instead of focusing on how she's dressed?

No, because you within the game constraints can't look at your own crotch in first person. However, the game shows many, many ass shots while he wears a tight leather suit.

MGS2 features a stereotypical prettyboy ass-naked solely to look at. It's completely unnecessary in terms of story, but it was funny. He was shown "posed" on a torture table, yes.

It potentially sold more copies because of Raiden. Supposedly they asked middle school girls, who were least likely to buy an MGS game, the kind of character they'd want to play, and that went into Raiden's design.

Marketing isn't "problematic." No one is oppressed in marketing products to sell. No one cares about your first world problems. No, I'm not going to admit that your shunning of male or female skin shown in a virtual game world is "problematic," "misogynistic" or should be removed because you are a demanding, abrasive asshole who has no content to offer yourself. Tropes 'against women' exist because people generally follow some guidelines when creating stories. Archetypes or similar plotlines aren't oppressive or against women. They're just interesting to add variety into.

I'm also certain dressing lighter is more functionally efficient than wearing tryhard armor that makes it impossible to run.

The problem is, Frank didn't play the game. He watched a video of Quiet showing off sexually in a helicopter while the game sat not being played. I haven't played yet, but I think that the game has Quiet pose in the helicopter because there's fucking nothing else to look at. That's all he and Dobson know about Quiet. A video of the game not being played.

What do you know? A woman who looks to weigh barely 100 pounds has trouble wearing and moving in armor generally designed for physically fit men of much larger stature.

He's operating on Arab logic. IE it's Quiet (and Kojima's) fault that he can't ignore the supple boobs and the idea of her tonguing any of the previous gals from the MGS series since she doesn't dress like an Amish person.

Y'know, I have this position on Quiet. Considering if she existed IRL she could easily kill me for looking at her funny if she was so inclined, I'd shut the fuck up about what she was wearing for self preservation reasons.

But I just described the idiocy inherent in this cyberprude bullshit. They want all women to wear huge, figure obscuring sacks, be butt ugly, and dominate the game regardless of their competence/relevance, even if the very setting makes this a betrayal of the series lore or in game universe.

Because their feels matter more, dammit, fuck the creator's opinion.
 
I'm basically saying Dobson doesn't get the point of travelling light during combat even at a fictional degree. It fits the tactical degree, but all Dobson can think about is fapping to Quiet.

Leave her alone Dobson, it's canon ok.

Like I said, you can get more modest armor for her. But why are they so obsessed with it. I thought part of modern feminism was women being allowed to wear what they want without judgement. Saying Quiet looks like a whore because of how she dresses is just so damn... chauvinistic.

Even with the Arab logic, he will find something minute to bitch about. I personally find Quiet's design practical as the game takes place in warm climates. The players have the option of changing her outfit, so what is there to complain about? That's right, Dobson and others like him are thick as a brick.
