Can a lolcow be redeemed

I think it depends on why they're a cow on if they can be saved. There was that guy who had an obsession with pads and a museum in his house for it or something, and it turned out he had an actual issue and once it got treated he stopped and realized what a freak he was being.

As long as we have internet hugboxes though telling people everyone is valid, the more ridiculous and outlandish among us won't examine their fucked up lives enough to realize they are the issue not those around. Shame can be bad, but it also does play a seriously important role in social interactions and the emphasis people put on no shaming really gives idiots a pass to be idiots.

Ulillillia was never a lolcow he was just an eccentric autistic artist who is really good with code. He's more like a less insane Terry Davis.

Ulillillia always exhibited a level of self awareness and was always trying to find ways to improve his life in ways that he was comfortable doing and understanding.

This story blows my mind because it shows just how fucked up the human brain can get, and how little we still understand.

As for saving lolcows I've got my butterfly net, a fully loaded Wellbutrin dart gun, a dog who barks when he smells anime, and a fuck ton of soap. I've been practicing misgendering all week and I'm ready to roll out. I can't save em all, but by golly, I've got to try.

Chris is a bad example. He was fucked from the start. Only a psychologist could have saved him from the false entitlement instilled in him by his parents. At this point, it's far too late.

For 90% of lolcows, it's too much time on the internet and hug box communities. If they step off the internet and got a hobby away from weirdos, they could be halfway productive members of society.

As far as lolcows that can be saved, the first group that comes to mind is incels. They have an unobtainable idea of what a boyfriend free girl should be. Instead of fucking 3s and 4s, they go for opposite gender gal pals they can't get with. They then retreat to reddit and pop black pills like a crack whore pops oxys. Incels then go one of two routes, spree killer or troon out to become the boyfriend free girl. Instead, all they have to do is lower their impossible standards.

What most people fail to realize is that most incels aren't simply "shy dorks" most of them are sociopaths and lack any form of empathy. They know very well how fucked up they are and have no intention to change because they like being fucked up.

If someone is going to commit a mass shooting, no amount of sex or popularity would stop that. In fact, it'll only make them more aggressive and arrogant. If a sociopath wants to commit a mass shooting, he will no matter what.

All that incel shit is really just an excuse for the thrill of the kill and posthumous attention. None of them really give a shit deep down.

Earlier in the thread they were mentioning the tampon guy who snapped out of it, right? So some lolcows at least can be saved, at least if treated correctly.

Sperging out here, but I think every lolcow can be saved. Not that every lolcow will be saved, but that every lolcow can be saved. Like, if Chris' environment instantaneously morphed into this brutal and insanely-medically advanced prison where he was pumped full of the right drugs and disciplined all day, I'd say that you could change Chris into a functioning member of society. Obviously that's not going to happen, but for every lolcow there's a low, low stars-aligning lottery-winning chance that they can be saved.
 
By "save," what are we talking about here? Are we talking about having them be functional members of society? Are we talking about stopping them from being spergy? Are we talking about removing them from their cow status? Is it case-to-case by what the cow is known for? Because there's a stark difference between someone like Chris and someone like, say, Tariq Nasheed. They're both cows in their own right, but the circumstances of why they are ridiculed is completely different.

The title of the thread is overbroad, because if we're just talking about the concept of cows in general, then the answer is, well, it depends. I think most, if not all people have a lolcow of some sort, whether it be in real life or on the internet, whether they know the term or not. Many cows are functioning members of society, but have behaviors that make them so laughable they're a topic of gossip. If you find yourself the butt of the joke, then your only hope to be lifted from cowdom is to stop whatever is making people laugh at you. Then, I suppose, you can be "saved" from being a lolcow when people cease to have anything to milk from you.

But, if we're talking about people like Chris and other cows like him, then we get into some murky territory.

I believe that everyone can change, but the probability of it happening is dependent from person-to-person. For Chris specifically, the chances are low, and the chances of him ever escaping being a lolcow are even lower. Chris has been stuck in this mindset for several years and only proves to get worse and worse. He didn't want to change when he was still somewhat coherent, and now that he's gone off the deep end, I don't think there's any bringing him back up.

Even if by some miracle, Chris gets extensive therapy and somehow claws his way out of his delusions, even manages to contribute to society, I think people would still be on him. Even if us Kiwis don't want to interfere with him, there would still be people trying to make him relapse into his own ways. I don't think getting off the internet would even help him since most of his life is public to the world. Chris is doomed to be a cow for the rest of his life.
