This popped up on my radar and I got about 25 minutes in before the wokeshit started creeping in. For those who don't know (Zoomers) Woodstock 99 was a massive shit show. There were riots, a few deaths and accusations of rape. It was such a shit show it was even referenced in the Simpsons in a clip I cannot find (of Otto attending the event and refusing to pay an exorbitant fee for water). So I'm interested in this.

25 minutes in and they show DMX performing and this guy acts all offended that the mostly white audience sing the Gamer Word along with DMX.

He acts all offended for the black people in attendance and they try to make this out to be a disgusting thing when this is extremely common at concerts to -you know- SING THE LYRICS OF THE SONG ALONG WITH THE PERFORMER.

Then it segues into the groping at the concert. A lot of female nudity equating it to Girls Gone Wild and the "sexist white male" attitude. Cuts to a band, The Offspring, lecturing the audience on not groping girls crowd surfing. I'll play Devi's Advocate; if you're crowd surfing then you're risking getting touched. You're offering yourself to the crowd to carry you and hands may go to places. Now, I'm not saying anyone should get raped or anything but when you crowd surf that's just a thing that might happen. It's a risk you take. This cutaway to the band getting interviewed did not help.

So now, 30 minutes in mind you, it's already attacking white male culture, attacking guys for wearing backwards baseball caps (yes, really) and plays a clip from Fight Club to illustrate this point. I shit you not.

It is then that I decided to create this thread and will be updating as I go because this thing is just shy of 2 hours.

32 minutes in: lectures the audience on movies about angry young men using clips from Fight Club, the Matrix and American Pie. Calling out American Pie for "sexual assault." It also takes a moment to repeatedly attack the nostalgia of the 69 Woodstock.

35 minutes in: makes the point that it was an angry crowd because of generational differences and tries to blame Limp Bizkit and Korn for stirring the anger among the crowd. A completely and totally ASININE argument because NIN played 94 and you can't get any angrier or more nihilistic than peak NIN in 94. There's no fucking way.

45 minutes in and the asshole comes back on and say's nu-metal is racist. I actually facepalmed. This is the guy saying that "Nu-Metal embraced the troglodyte elements." Of rock:

50 minutes in before Columbine is brought up equating this anger and nihilism (prevalent throughout the 90's) in the culture culminating at Woodstock. I'm not a fan of the deification of Cobain and I like Nirvana.

59 minutes in and bitching about there being only 3 female acts. FFS.

An hour and two minutes in and more white male bashing. Specifically targeting young college guys. It lays the blame of the riot on Limp Bizkit and the culture of young white males.

Guys, this docu is making me defend Fred Durst. WTF?

An hour and ten minutes. Now it blames Boomers for wanting to pass on the experience of Woodstock. WTF?

An hour and twenty minutes they go over the rapes. One of the organizers defends himself saying there were only a few rapes and women walking around nude should have been weary (true).

An hour and twenty five covers the one and only death. Sucks for that guy but one death doesn't make this on par with an atrocity or fucking Hurricane Katrina like the commenters are suggesting. Three people died at Woodstock 69 FFS.

From what I remember, Fred Durst was egging the crowd on to "get crazier", but a lot of the shit that was held up (looting, fires, etc.) as being representative of Woodstock '99 occurred the following night...but the organizers and media conflated the two and made it seem like this happened directly after Limp Bizkit performed.

The feral dogs were eating said corpses and tried to attack everyone on sight. That's worse than a few hippies getting raped and having their shit kicked in. The closer of the final night were the Red Hot Chili Peppers, who for some goddamn reason distributed candles among the crowd for a "candlelight vigil" while they played Under the Bridge, in honor of gun crime victims. They used those candles to set a lot of shit on fire. You know what they say, the road to Hell is paved with good intentions.

Of course, since the Peppers are huge libs, I bet they won't be called out on this, or any of this will be even mentioned.
