Someone told me that players used to pay for Titan (Normal) and Titan (Hard) carries back in the day just because they gate the MSQ. It's mind-boggling how bad some people are.

Paying for a Titan Normal clear is news to me. I mean, I know people shit the bed there too, but it's so braindead easy that even my friend, who gets incredibly anxious doing any sort of content, second-guesses herself, and ends up screwing up mechanics because she either hesitated or panicked nine times out of ten, did Titan Normal completely perfectly, without even failing a single mechanic, going into the fight completely blind and absolutely no help given to her (mostly because I wanted to run a skill litmus test on her by that point) way back when she was still new to the game.

People have no excuse other than sheer laziness. Why the fuck do you even bother playing a video game if you're not going to pay even a small modicum of attention to what's happening in it?

Half of how I, and others, make her do any sort of harder content in the game is by going "Fuck it, do it anyway." She's scared of making mistakes and making everyone either pissed or disappointed in her, but I tell her all the time that the only way she's gonna learn is by doing. You fuck up? That's just a mistake to learn from. And if anyone gives you shit for it, fuck 'em. Not gonna learn without some fuckups.

Kinda like Ravana pointed out earlier, her issue is that she overthinks things often. At least until she gets pissed. Then she'll be 100% confident to do something completely out of spite.

Ive seen people run off with stack markers, line markers, seen people for whatever reason want to be in front of the boss that cleaves the entire area in front of it.

Even after telling them, hey dont do this and o this and the fight will go smooth, you get 1 or 2 people who just refuse to do shit right...

If you ask me, hous of the novice needs a revamp to show what every marker in the game does. and it needs to be mandatory.

Ravana, Tsukuyomi, Titania, and WoL are the four trial fights for the game in MSQ that I consider "Idiot Checks".

Ravana has directional parry, adds, and just dodging, so you can't just unga bunga through it.

Tsukuyomi has the cleave, fan circle aoes, and the akh mhorn stack (which people flee from at times for some reason that aren't invul tanks).

Titania has an add phase (that can be demanding pending on the entire group's IL) as well as the enrage check right after.

and WoL is basic Move/'Don't move, stack/spread, press the button etc.

Susano is bad too, but I have way more people leaving Tsukuyomi over Susano.

I know people can boost now and some people miss out on this stuff prior. But there's a line of common sense that should be followed in general., especially when it's just stay away from the Tank.

the amount of times i go to catch the sword only for a healer to run up and do it, and we wipe immediately after. Their reason? I wanted to do the cool thing.

The slow ones usually can't dodge the (predictable) slash + wave mechanic, usually being caught out of position for whatever reason.

I know this because I had to solo heal Susano a few times and it's always never pleasant because of how much damage the tank takes from Susano's auto alone. (Which meant I need to constantly top him off on top of keeping the rest of the party topped off.)

I used to hate him and his stupid soy fishfaced thumbnails that plauged FF14 search results- still do- but I'm starting warm up to him after watching him get giddy and star-eyed over content I've ran dozens of times and hate. Reading the thread about his supposed transgressions against humanity just make me warm up to him even more. Fuck- especially that ugly women take.
