I think he must have been waiting for someone to troll his Patreon account since the comments he posted were at least a month old, he must be annoyed nobody wants to be a ween so he can get oppression points/people backing his Patreon out of sympathy.

So Steven Universe is about a chubby genderqueer kid prancing around amongst purple flowers?
Analyzing this squid pic a bit more (assuming the hypothesis is correct that the Samurai-topknot squids are male, the others female):
- The boys are rowdy and fool around, dripping paint on a girl's head. Cuz boys = JERKS.
- The girls spend their time such: One is silently suffering the stupid rowdyness of the boys (getting paint on her head); one -- who is not only a squid person but also a squid person of color -- is the only one doing something useful: she listens to radio transmissions; two are... well, with an innocent mindset I'd say just bonding and having a friendly squid-to-squid chat, maybe discussing the effectiveness of that green pistol-style weapon -- but we all know Nookie Bear by now and I blame nobody on suspecting something NSFW is going on.
- Summa Cephalopodiae: Guys = wild, loud, crude, irresponsible, annoying; girls = reasonable, cooperative, intelligent, sweet, possibly LESBIAN KICK, reliable, responsible, cute.
- I have to admit I like the radio operator one, she's really quite cute.
- It would be interesting to create a game about these along the lines of Creatures, with realistic squid behavior.

1) The trolls manipulated Patreon to get his money stolen.
2) Patreon is trolling him and endorses GamerGate.

Yes, most of those characters were drawn separetly, I fondly remember the one with the beacon (yellow hair) and the octoling sketch. What a mess with the octoling, this is the original design in case someone wonders:
She's supposed to be taller than the inklings and her eyes are completely different, not to mention she's way slimmer and well, we could go on and on.
It's the cycle of asspats, I asspat you and then you asspat me. Notice how the only ones retweeting and faving are always the same people and Dobson does the same to them.
