I think not even he likes his original characters anymore.
Just saying, considering how much he has abandoned them over the years. The kids from Formera? No one cares. Danny and Spot? Both choked with a Wii controler. Perry Phillips or whatever his non-Sherlock was called in 2003? Choked on Instant Noodles. Patty and Nicole? Probably biker chicks now. Alex and her crew? Got reimagned into the cast of some HBO show on the sea if you ask me and SYAC is just him standing on a soapbox. Guy let go off his "imaginary friends" over time and as such it became obvious how he doesn't really care about them at all, even as fap material. Just saying, if you spend more time reimagining a world map that doesn't even really fit a pirate theme than actually thinking up a story for your characters, I say you need to rethink a few things.
