Yes, thank goodness we have a diverse representation of cartoon bears!
Dobby cares about the important things in life.

Speaking of bears, I think Garfield made fun of Dobson's mentality already around 20 years ago.

Dobson: If you ever disagree, it means that you are wrong, I am andrew Dobson and sing my little song.

Apparently Dobson went completely mad.

Or did I miss something? Are space-gem-creatures and ice bears protesting on the streets, because they are underrepresented in modern media? What does either of those shows do to represent a diverse cast? All of those main characters are creatures that don't exist in real life.

If it goes according to Dobson, Steven Universe is all awesome because it features lesbians and Bare Bears is all about diversity, because it is a brown bear (blakc person) an ice bear (white person) and a panda (asian) living together.

If he considers the later already progressive than I think he is more racist than he thinks, as he obviously thinks that "representation of minorities" is already achieved just by a different skin color. As for the Steven Universe thing, he has slightly a point but he makes a mountain out of a mole hill.

Regarding what I get from Steven Universe, it goes like that: It is made obvious that one of the characters was in love with the former leader of the gems (Steven's mom), who died a decade earlier. And the show tries to make her sympathetic in a certain way as it is shown she still seems to mourn the loss, while hiding it behind a facade of being the smart and logical one. So the SU fans jump on her, considering her deep and emotional, when in reality she also comes off a lot like a condescending cunt who had a stalker crush on someone who saw in her only a friend. The other thing is, one of the characters is a "fusion". A fusion is when two gems fuse together to form a new being with a shared mind. Normally two gems do that in battle to increase power, but the character in particular (Garnet) is actually a fusion born from the love of the two gems that form her and both are women named after the two versions of Pokemon Generation 3. I will be fair tough and say, the show does with Garnet and her fusion status an overall better job than expected. It has a certain relevance to the plot and while the creators are "proud" of their idea, they don't shove it into your face how progressive they are with it, unlike the guys behind Legend of Korra did after the show finale on tumblr. It really is the fault of people like Dobson that the shit is blown completely out of proportion.

Or in short: One is progressive because of multicolored skinned/furred bears, the other is considered progressive because for some reason when the west decides to do shit Sailor Moon did 20 years ago, it is the most advanced move in storytelling ever.

How long has it been since 4chan was even slightly relevant?

this storify thing makes me wonder if someone should just upload something as "expanded" material, showcasing e.g. how exactly he apologized to Zelda, what hsi fetish art looked like and so on. then again, at this point I would not be surprised if Dobson uploads the shit himself sooner than later

Actually, when people say "just ignore it," what they're really saying is "just ignore it." What, does he need an "ignore means ignore!!!" campaign to get that through his head?

Still calling it.

He's gonna cop out on the wallpaper because he's gonna say the animation was his "wallpaper and more" and some shit like that.

That storify is great!

to sour my reputation in the eyes of colleagues or people I might someday become friends with. Such as the case with Briana Wu

>optimistic<

A couple months back I sent a tweet to Zelda Williams with the picture of female Thor saying "calm thine tits." It was grossly out of place and soon after I retracted/deleted my post, apologized to her publicly on twitter,

You didn't apologize, you shit.

Oh lord. He really is delusional enough to think he can become friends with those celebrities. It's Chris's invitations all over again.

I don't know what his problem is, he can ignore constructive criticism just fine after all!
Ignoring the "haters" and "trolls" would just be a step further.
