The editing for the new video is the best it's ever been visually on the channel. The audio levels are too high and the choice of background music is horrible.

It's always funny to see him yell at these cartoons that are meant for people way younger than him. He can't expect some sort of glorious high-art from cartoons like Spongebob, nor can he expect them to align perfectly with his vision on what a good cartoon is. That's why he pretty much only wants to do Atrocious Animation videos now so he can continue yelling at kids' shows.

Having watched Shinkai for almost 15 years now it is a departure from his earlier work. You can complain that Radwimps for the soundtrack didn't have any standout tracks as opposed to Tenmon's piano and violin pieces. The story you could complain is a bit trite and how Taki didn't realize their times were out of sync sooner just by checking the date. Taki is also kinda plain with Mitsuha having to do the heavy lifting in the first act as it follows her with Taki following in the second and you notice that lack of personality.
That being all said, it is a tightly constructed simple story with good dialog (Watashi, Boku, Ore) for I when Mitsuha is possessing Taki for instance and the detailed colourful animation is Shinkai's best. He's always done light and realistic environments and this is his best work of that. You can see why it's the 5th highest grossing movie in japan of all time.
Plus they end up together, NTR doujins are non-canon. As they should be.

Like I said, there are reasons for a reasonable person to dislike it, but it’s not a bad movie by any means. I personally really like it for what it is, though I’d argue it’s a tad over rated on a whole.
As for NTR, honestly I think the major popularity of that genre stems from how much asshurt it’s mere existence causes. Very much the troll’s hentai of choice.
All of that aside, you and I both know anime and the past works better than Enter could ever pretend to, which is why any critique you or I could have would be more savory and not seem like just hating on a popular movie for being popular

Honestly, I think Hentai genres are gay, but NTR always makes me laugh. People get so shit tickled when it comes to cartoons getting cucked that its genuinely funny to me. I've never been into the "le epic trolling

It looks like there was supposed to be more information at the bottom, like where it says "meet the characters" or whatever the fuck, but its blank. Only the final "keep up to date on their adventures" thing has images in it.

He still posts the occasional new script to his Discord every month or two, but they're not very exciting. His website is a load of crap he only updates once or twice a year when enough people pester him about it. "Growing Around" isn't dead, but it may as well be.

The first 17 minutes are an absolute GEM. Star goes into detail about abuse they received not just from Enter but from other members of the team. I wonder what ELSE is going on behind the scenes that we don't know about. I'm reminded of that mod (Rainmaker) who left a while back. I wonder if he left for similar abuse-related reasons.
(Star also mentions Kiwi Farms a bit towards the end of that 17 minute rant)

That'd require him to not look or smell like he sleeps in a box under a bridge. And then not shriek about masks for five minutes. If he can manage both of those then yes he might be hired to wipe tables and sweep floors for a few weeks max. That's how long I'd give him before he fucks up or quits.
