The episode went viral, likely becoming their most circulated and aired episode. It took months to recover and it ends with him revealing his new face infront of his friends - and they looked visibly horrified. He also did not tell his mom about the surgery, so I wonder how she felt after she discovered it

What's kinda even sadder about all of this is that the K-pop industry treats their stars as trash. It's a very looks-centered industry, sure, like everywhere, but K-pop stars even more than elsewhere are under intense pressure to get nose jobs, skin bleaching, eyelid reshaping, and other unnecessary shit to enhance their look - please find me a K-pop star, male or female, who has a "normal" wide Asian nose. On top of that, management companies run these kids into the ground, making them work ridiculous schedules while taking sometimes up to 90% of their pay as a fee. As far as I can tell, most surgery addicts suffer from body dysmorphia. I have yet to hear a good argument why it's different from gender dysphoria and why surgery is not a good treatment for it when it's fine for troons.
