tl;dr of tl;dr: #MeTooed anime voice actor interviewed by lawtuber who helped initiate and has since followed closely the details of a lawsuit against the actor's accusers.
Obligatory post-feature tl;dr for the newbies who will now be infesting this thread;
Vic Mignogna (mign-YON-na) is an actor/voice actor who is most widely known for his work in the English dubs of many popular anime shows.
Nick Rekieta is a lawyer turned YouTube commentator (though he maintains his law practice to some extent) who became quite popular by doing streams and videos on some fandom-related cases; first the "lolsuit" between Maddox and Dick Masterson, then the "ComicsGate" suit when amateur comics writer Richard Meyer (AKA YouTuber "Comics & Diversity/Comics Matter/Ya Boi Zack") sued professional comics writer Mark Waid for tortious interference after he basically slandered Meyer with racism accusations and got a publishing deal for one of his books cancelled.
"Weeb Wars" kicked off in early 2019 when some anime industry pros, most notably Mignogna, were #MeTooed via Twitter. Very few of the allegations were anything close to proven, but of course that doesn't matter; anime cons began to drop Mignogna from their schedules and anime and video game productions fired him as an actor, even after he did the customary apology. After his fans and viewers saw similarities with the Meyer v Waid case (largely Twitter-powered libel with the attempt to ruin someone's career), Nick started following the case and even floated the idea of starting a crowdfunding campaign to raise funds for a lawsuit, as happened with the Meyer case.
At some point, Rekieta and Mignogna had a telephone conversation in which Rekieta referred Vic to a family friend of his, Texas lawyer Ty Beard. Though Mignogna already had other counsel at that point, he was not satisfied with their results, so he hired Beard. They filed a suit against four defendants for their libel. The defendants filed a Texas Civil Participation Act (TCPA) motion, which basically argues that the lawsuit was an attempt to squash their first-amendment right of free speech rather than address any real wrongdoing, and the judge in the case accepted that motion and dropped the case. (Opinion on the Farms is split between retards who believe that Beard is incompetent and bungled the case, and retards who believe that the judge was wrong to drop the case despite clear evidence of defamation resulting in financial damage. Some retards believe both to be true.) Beard almost immediately filed an appeal, and that's where the case is now - we have been waiting several months to hear from the higher court if the appeal will go through and the case will be sent back to the lower court. The coof has slowed down things considerably.
During this process, Nick and Vic have apparently stayed in casual contact and even met in person at an anime con that Vic had been re-invited to. Nick has not yet featured Vic on his show, however (despite featuring Beard many times, both about the Vic case and other things). Thus, despite the fantasies of people in this thread, I highly doubt Mignogna is going to use this as an opportunity to rip Nick a new one.
The case is rather important in that it's perhaps the most high-profile case so far of someone not just rolling over and letting their career die after getting #MeTooed, but instead forcing his accusers to put up or shut up. During early depositions, Mignogna had to admit some not-so-wholesome things, such as soliciting a prostitute and attempting but failing to initiate a threesome with twins, but so far none of the specific accusations of almost-rape by the defendants has been proven. So even if you hate everyone involved, it's one you should pay attention to if you think there should be consequences for making false accusations of rape and sexual harassment.
