Don't quote me on this, but didn't the lady who was Rosie the Riveter quit because the job required heavy lifting or something along those lines?Think is, that's not even the original Rosie the Riveter. That image was commissioned by Westinghouse Company's War Production Coordinating Committee and largely forgotten after it's 2 week period in the factory. It was never used originally to get more female workers or empower them, but to give the male workers something pretty to look at and boost moral. It was only rediscovered and co-opted by feminists in the 80s. Cause who needs history when you have 3rd wave.
