Futaba is literally the unholy mix of non blood related little sister and gamer girl pandering, with so much mental baggage that anyone who wants to romance her is either equally autistic or a freak. In other words, it makes perfect snese that she is so popular and Pat chose her.
Yeah you can say the other girls are garbage, and they are sure but they were always garbage. All of them, even in p3 and p4. They're soulless characters that only exist to be waifus and they will never be capable of having a happy canon relationship since they have to be "avaiable" forever (at least fire emblem lets you pair many). The joke is on you for getting in petty internet fights over cardboard cutouts designed to make you do that.
Regardless, if someone has footage of Pat virtue signaling over yuffie being a teenager, someone should ask him why there are so many podcasts of him arguing with woolie over which 15 year old they'd rather fuck.

Futaba is for all those sister syndromes who wanted to date Nanako in P4 but were told it was wrong. P5’s non-blood related sister is at least 16 so it’s totally cool now even though she has mental problems.

I like Futaba but I get why some people are weirded out by romancing her.
What I never get is why Makoto is so popular, she's right up there with being as boring as Hifumi. Fucking Ohya has a better Social Link story than Makoto, Makoto's social link is about an irrelevant NPC that's dating a douche. Makoto is this weird loser snitch that was the whole reason we got in too deep with Kaneshiro in the first place, it's no wonder the bad end in that arc is her being a drugged up mind broken bitch.
