Oh god. I am reading through two of Dobbers Story arcs and if anyone ever needs an example of how much Dobshit sucks as a storyteller, just read that.
It begins with this strip and let me tell you, it sucks so fucking bad on all accounts. Jesus Christ.

Basically, the three small arcs are about how Sam is literally a doormat that does all the fucking work (and I mean: ALL the fucking work) and noone ever as much as thanking him. Yeah, cause that's not an inane saturday morning cartoon moral or anything. But it gets better, at some point, he grows a pair of balls and tells Gypsy to shut her pie hole since he was talking to a lolcat pirate. @Johnny Bravo already mentioned those I think, but I couldn't have thought it was THIS bad. Either way, Gypsy blows a fuse, calls him scum and apparently is angry till the end of the day. Sam secretly leaves the group overnight to look for some relative.
Now the cruncher: The next arc is supposed to highlight how much the crew misses Sam, but they never really miss him as a person, they only miss the shit he did for the group. Really. They never go "We behaved like shit and poor Sam is now gone." They immediately shift all blame on Gypsy (for being 10% more douche then anyone else) and start to lament that they have to do their own fucking work and how they want Sam back (to do said fucking work) Just... wow.

Also, the ultimate dickmove, the crew stumbles upon a ruin that used to be an orphanage and a villager tells them, pretty much all orphans that lived there died when it collapsed. So, a huge group of kids fucking died. The crews reaction? "Well gee! How do we find our buttmonkey now?".

I can't fathom how much Dobshit sucks at writing characters and plot. It's insane.

Turns out Sam was looking for a girl that was stuck in the orphanage with him and he visits her grave to say goodbye and kisses her grave.
LoLSoRandomFurryshit's reaction? "EWWWWW! He kissed a grave!". You couldn't make this shit up if you tried.

Sonichu is enjoyable on the level thats its so damn bad its good but also because we know so much about chris.
Dobsons work is just devoid of anything remotely entertaining, whilst we sure do laugh at Chris and his antics our Dobbie just comes across as a smug tit and it sure comes across in his work.

Hi.
So, I read up a lot about Dobson and his Alex ze Pirate thing and dear lord is that shit dumb.
I think many already pointed the worst stuff out, but frankly, I am baffled on how Dobson makes the thing worse over the years. Just look at the progression: In 2000 his artwork looked like something straight from a 13 year olds deviantart page, then it looked pretty generic and animesque and now everyone has a nose as if someone hit them with a frying pan. But worse than the artwork is just the world building and lack of story. How can someone be attached to something for 17 years or longer and not have any idea where to go with the idea? Then again, this is the guy who does not even give a damn about his character's eye color. I wonder if Andrew Dobson is something like mirror verse Eichiro Oda.

I don't have the link to the comic off the top of my head, but he made a SYAC where he addressed a OoT fan because he bashed OoT because it was "popular" and when the fan pointed out how retarded that is, he brought up Justin Beiber. The OoT fan proceeded to become a Dobson strawman and go all ballistic while Dobson was like "Oh you only hate him because he's populaaaarr!!"

Because he's a pedantic ass.

If he were pedantic, he would actually put effort in his art and only put it on when it was actually well done. Not when half his characters look like Mowgli after a sex change. Better words to describe Dobson would be contradictary or unimaginative. Remember when he did his stupid Disney/Marvel crossovers? I actually came up with a better motive idea he could have drawn for Iron-Man and Gizmo Duck then he could and I can't draw shit at all. Like instead of letting them pose like the whitest rappers, let them fight in a battle. Iron Man blowing up some aliens with his blasters, while Gizmo Duck goes all Go-Go Gadget on the villains, with mechanical arms holding chainsaws and creampies, rockets and soundblasters sticking out of every part of his armor, blowing robots up like it was an old fahioned cartoon.

The two midgets don't look much different, Doormat looks like he was stolen from Penny Arcade and the two girls look like mongoloid trannies. It's really something. The old style looked like generic crap, but the new design for the two girls is actually really disgusting. Also everyone in that image looks like they're on crack.
