Basically i just think Dobson pretends to hate anime because he had his choice of anime laughed it.
Pretty sure hes still watching it but keeping it under wraps.

He did mention somewhere that he got over his hatred of anime. Can't be arsed to look up where that was, though.

But even so, his taste in anime is so unremarkably shallow, he barely knows the most mainstream anime - and even there he fucks up.
He calls "Detective Conan" "Boy Detective Conan" and he somehow garbled the title of "Mahou Tsukai Tai" despite claiming these two are his favorite shows.

I get the feeling Dobson doesn't just hate anime, but all animation. He's just trying his damnedest to hide it.

After all, why else would he cross over two completely incompatible shows, start liking an Anime-inspired series all because of "ZOMG Lesbians!" Hell, I don't think he's said anything about any older cartoons made before 2005 or so besides that "Attack on Beagles" picture.

If it makes you feel any better just assume EVA was a trigger fest for Dobson.
Even CWC sort of enjoy End of evangelion....mostly for naked Rei and sexy time feet.

He isn't giving some sort of caustic commentary, he's trying to proclaim that his random recolors are better than the medium that he steals so much shit from. CWC is funny (unintentionally). Dobson is never funny under any circumstances.

At least I could have a conversation with CWC about video games without him sperging out about Nintendo and how all other videogames apart from Skyrim are garbage and how the Wii is "revolutionising gaming".

And Dobson doesn't drink anyway so I guess it's hit a drag bar with CWC or sit in McDonalds with Dobson. Not hard to imagine which night would be more fun.
