Furry game getting trashed by mainstream journos so Phil needs his fans to make the stream choices for him
He has been hyping this game up for a week, each time stressing that 'he doesn't know anything about it'. So he brags about not doing any research. He has, in the past, said that you should ignore early game reviews and experience it for yourself (aka, watch his stream).
Now you could say that he wants to approach the game fresh. That's fine, I understand that... but then...
He looks at all the reviews 24 hours before he is supposed to play it and begins to panic, taking them all at face value (something he says people should not do anyway), and runs to his audience to ask what he should do about something he has been hyping to them for a week, probably to shift the blame onto them if anything goes awry. He did exactly the same thing with Returnal.
He does the exact incorrect combination of things in terms of representing his supposed stance on how to approach new releases, finally does research at the worst possible time to start doing that research, and finally tries to open a discussion with his audience in the 11th hour after squawking at them that he knows nothing for the last week, every time they asked. This is some hot business acumen.
Regarding his gin tweets, I also want to consider what we see here in combination with what we are told...
Phil just yesterday reiterated that they have to tire Jasper out so they can lock him in the bedroom with them. But here we see Phil up all night, likely drinking and tweeting, and this is not an uncommon occurrence.
So is Phil sitting in bed next to (a trying to sleep) Kat, playing on his phone? While he is also trying to get Jasper to sleep at the foot of the bed?
Or does he sit downstairs, fucking around on his phone until 4am and then disturbs Kat when he finally brings Jasper to bed? Or does he lock the cat in the room with Kat, and then go back downstairs himself because gin and Jasper are a poor mix?
Or does Kat have a separate room and Jasper gets locked in there and then Phil has the run of the house in the wee hours?
Either way, this gives credibility to the theory of separate sleeping arrangements, because the thing that makes the least sense with what we see of his tweeting habits is the notion that he is in bed with his wife every night, on his phone for hours, or waking up every few hours to tweet into the void.
