This really made me think about the terms AMAB and AFAB. Like a lot of people here have said, it's not assigned, it's observed. So it would be MAB and FAB. It's also not just at birth, it can be observed at any time. So really, all that's left is male and female. Is it purposeful language to suggest it can be changed later, that it was just their “birth sex” not their current biological sex? Am I just thinking too much about it?

Why would you use AMAB or AFAB, and not just male or female? Why even say TIM or TIF, they're still just male and female. Why do woke companies even try to use “menstruators” or “womb havers”? Just say female. I genuinely don’t understand the point of all the acronyms. It must be just to confuse normies.

Women's sports are pretty important during high school and college. Pissed off parents are a pretty significant political force. Like imagine some dad who spent every weekend driving his daughter to track meets so she could get a running scholarship, just for some teenaged agp pervert to push her off the podium. I don't know. Ultimately it's going to require that men start care about the troons before we see any changes. And while most men don't give half a shit about the state of women's sports, most men have female family and friends that they care about. Idk, I think locker rooms and bathrooms are too theoretical a risk for it to be a significant political issue. Realistically, to get political results on these issues, you need to motivate one or more of the big demographics where politics (especially local politics) are their primary hobby. Think old people or middle aged parents, the kind that screech at PTA meetings. These types will be somewhat agitated by locker rooms, but I think they'll absolutely burn shit down if their daughters lose out on sports scholarships because some mediocre male teenager wants to play dress up.

Yeah, bathrooms are going to be a non-starter, because there's more of a logical argument to move towards gender neutral bathrooms anyway. The egregious example you described would have to happen multiple times in a very specific way that made it primarily because of letting troons in bathrooms (and it couldn't involve anything too sympathyzing to the troon, like a beating.) The perv angle has to be able to beat normal women bathroom perv pornhub results. The discussion for gender neutral bathrooms is a whole other thing, but a lot of the tranny bathroom arguments break themselves from both sides into bigger issues - like safety - who needs more protection, trannies or women? well, then who actually gets mistreated in bathrooms? What about stats on gay men and old people? That's all a distraction from why in 2021 in the United States, are people legitimately concerned about violence and harassment in bathrooms? It's a whole discussion with other facets, but it's way less cut-and-dry than men's bodies give them a sports advantage over women.

It's going to take something huge to open people's minds. Sadly, I don't think it's going to be women's assaults in prison - they're criminals, who cares. Women's sports - we don't even pay women the same as men, who cares. Or women being assaulted in bathrooms - that's just fringe trans people. I agree sports scholarships are going to be huge. You have helicoptering, PTA-involved parents who are known to fake a child's interest in sports to get them into college. Now imagine your child is actually capable of excelling in a sport, and you are asking her to constantly take a backseat to a boy because no one will speak up. They do not care what you call them. They will rain holy fire down on every school board and politician in the world before they let their child miss out on what they've earned.

I would like to see an entire school system of parents pull their daughters out if something like this happens. The media will still cover the one trans kid who "just wants to play sports," but it won't be ignorable, and it will sort of get the foot in the door of organizing to fight it at the local level. The UK has orgs to protect female sports, and the moms of this country will be the ones to get it started here, if ever.
