He really pulled "If I were saying hateful slurs, I WOULD BE BANNED STOOOOPID" on twitch itself? Really? come the fuck on, Dave.
I love circular logic Phil. When he's not in trouble it's because he does nothing wrong, when he is in trouble it's obviously bullshit because if he were doing something wrong he would've been punished ages ago.

This is why I think Phil is lying/being incredibly misleading about why he lost partnership.
I think he's just not up-to-date on what Twitch would consider a 'hateful slur'. Think of all the fucked up, weird, schizo's in the dead categories on Twitch. Look at the fucking 'Deer Girl'. Calling someone mentally ill is absolutely 'Hateful Speech' in Twitch's book of Grudges. And that's basically all he's done for the past four years. Every single time he gets someone in his crosshairs he resorts directly to calling them mentally ill sociopath. You can absolutely see why Twitch's legal team would decide to distance and disassociate themselves from a 'problematic' content creator.

Also, remember, he was never banned. He's basically had Twitch take back their endorsement of him. Not a big deal, at all, but Dave realizes just how much money he gets from gifted subs/bits and he's extremely pissy about how many people flat-out refused to transition to direct tipping.
The switch to YouTube is literally just to save his ego. He has to be the one getting the final say or the last laugh. It has to be his choice to tell Twitch to go fuck themselves, otherwise, he looks like a beaten dog whimpering next to Twitch's table for some scraps. (In his mind, at least)

On an unrelated note, how badly do you guys think Dave would struggle if he was forced to play a Total War game or Europa Universalis IV/Stellaris/Endless Space (1 or 2)? I'm asking because I just recently lost a 260~ turn game of TW: Warhammer 2 and it damn near broke my heart thinking of all the hours I burned just to get my teeth kicked in.

I don't even think Twitch is accounting for off-platform conduct when considering DSP. Mans had a whole serious about "top 10 racist remarks." If that doesn't catch their attention, then nothing will.
True yeah, but didn't they about a month ago create this special division of twitch staff that they'll be monitoring twitch partners offsite and looking into their behaviour on other platforms?

I don't know how much that that had an impact on Phil exactly, but it's something to think about, in terms of him getting his partnership removed and getting banned for hateful slurs.

So he actually was trying to hide those nasty troll stats

He would definitely get his ass clapped hard, even on the easier difficulties. He would never play it though, the amount of handholding he would need would bankrupt The Bezos himself.

PS RIP to your game, 260 turns is in deep.

I caught his stream earlier and the ratio was something like 160 likes and 1200 dislikes, so of course he'd try to hide the numbers.

Also what the fuck happened today? I didn't see it coming that DSP getting an explanation from Twitch would cause a shitstorm with some of you stationary neggers.

I'm a little late to this but "Punishing someone for something they didn't do IS ILLEGAL" has to be one of the best Phil quotes ever. "Life isn't always fair" is a concept most people learn as a child. Imagine growing up so spoilt, so coddled, that at 40 you want to throw a tantrum over it.
god, it's the one thing i hate about phil the most
the exaggeration about every wrong
he gets a wrongful ban and it gets lifted, he acts like he was thrown into prison

i know some song lyrics that describe him
can't keep johnny down.png

i'm willing to bet phil has more brain space dedicated to people that do things like "accidentally bump into him" or "say a scary no no word" near him than anything good anyone has done to him

He had some viewer, forget his name, who'd been giving him large tips for well over a year and whose name he CONSTANTLY misspelled despite the fact that this guy's been a regular viewer/donator for like over a year. If anyone knows who I'm talking about, let me know.

"I will never go back to Twitch unless my partnership is reinstated and they give me a public apology acknowledging I did nothing wrong. Will be on YT forever."

Keep this day saved for when that doesn't happen, and he's back on Twitch in a few months to a year.

Always great when a bankrupt loser and failed streamer "lays down the law" to a multimillion dollar company. One that has thousands like him & hundreds way more successful than him.

Can this guy ever go a stream without talking about his financial situation? Phil buddy, remember when you challenged detractors to not talk about you and that criminal Tevin did it and became a partner on Twitch? Take up your own challenge with some modifications. Maybe stop talking about your finances, stop talking about tips and just play the game. No one has put a gun to your head and demanded you be a streamer. The job wasn’t pulled out of the hat and you’re stuck with this buddy, if you have to beg for tips every month of every year......... maybe you’re not a good streamer and perhaps you should get a real job.

I gotta say, if Twitch actually addresses Phil's rants and apologizes to him, I might just start believing in the Pigroach Luck myth. Hopefully I won't become a paypig.
Just join the Scientologists if it comes to that. At least you'll get a place to live after they alleviate you of all your property and wealth.

It is a completely valid point. Why is a pattern of hateful speech enough to be departnered but not removed entirely from the website? It doesn't make sense. I would have bet money his departenering was for the exclusivity period because it fit so well.
it's not a good point because DSP literally always has someone to bat for him at Twitch. If DSP was anyone normal, he'd just be banned. When he said the nword, normal twitch streamers wouldn't get cleared in 1 hour on a saturday. DSP clearly has someone at twitch that is batting for him day in and day out.

Phil never used a hateful slur. And if he did, it wasn't that bad. And even if it was bad, it wasn't Phil's fault. And if it was Phil's fault, he didn't mean it. And if he did mean it, it was probably because you're a detractor, so you deserved it.

You forgot a line about how if he did say a slur it was years ago (when he was in his late 20s/early 30s) and he has "grown up" now and doesn't use those jokes anymore because he's a mature adult with a family and a wife.
