I'm willing to bet my entire rainy day fund that he thinks hateful slurs only applies to racist shit like nigger, chink, kike, etc.
So him calling anyone that disagrees with him a smooth brained fucking idiot is kosher because that's not a hateful slur.

If Phil had spent any time in the American workforce he would know by now that the following traits are considered protected and talking shit about someone to their face over any of them would make an overzealous HR rep cream their pants:
  1. Age
  2. Weight
  3. Sexual orientation
  4. Gender presentation (yes, including calling someone "sissy")
  5. Physical disability
  6. Mental disability
I'm not going to come down in any side of the Frozen Peaches issue but had Phil been an employee anywhere his language would've had him canned decades ago, and as others have said, as a Twitch partner he was an ambassador for the brand and making them money. Companies don't want assholes carrying their implicit endorsement. That ain't new.
 
Twitch updated their "Hateful Conduct and Harassment" policy January 22nd, 2021. We will never know exactly what things Phil said that they are categorizing as "Hateful Slurs" because according to their policy they refuse to make anything they consider to be on this list public knowledge "so as not to enable or facilitate evasion of this policy." They also say "Further, we take context into account when evaluating whether use of a slur violates our policies," so something might not even be specifically on their "Hateful Slurs" list, but because of how and why you are saying something they may decide it violates their "Hateful Conduct" policy.

Looking at their new "Hateful Conduct" code the one that stands out to me is:
Content that expresses inferiority based on a protected characteristic, including, but not limited to, statements related to physical, mental, or moral deficiencies.

This is just my speculation, but basically Twitch is saying they removed Phil from their Partner program for being an asshole and constantly calling anyone who disagrees with him a "mentally ill, brain-dead fucking moron" among a host of other things he regularly says. [Queue 'Why am I toxic?!?' clip]

It's funny because this is the basket Phil decided to put all his eggs in, while refusing to put any effort into learning how to understand any of the policies he agreed to abide by.
Phil is the proverbial frog in a slowly heating pot of water who can't read the temperature of the room he is in, and now he has steam pouring out his ears while screaming "When the fuck was I ever in hot water?!?"
It's especially funny to me because Phil is a massive hypocrite. He has frequently whined about people mocking his "mental illness" ('That was my depression') that he "can't control". I'm pretty sure there are clips out there of Phil saying "You'd have to be completely FUCKED IN THE HEAD to mock someone ('me, REE') struggling with mental illness.'
Any time anyone mocks him he will try to cry-bully shame them based on language policing bullshit, but in the same breath will attack in exactly the same way.

As an asshole myself I find the existence and ever increasing restrictiveness of policies like these concerning and antithetical to progress as a species. Twitch should die in a fire.

Dear leader bringing Masterpiece Cake into this so I have to note the decision there hinged on attempting to sue for not being served in a work for hire situation. Cake shop and owner were happy to sell any cake in the store to them, but since they didn't want any cake the store offered they wanted a work for hire special order and the owner refused to take the work for hire which he can't be forced to do. Phil isn't a work for hire situation in relation to Twitch, so he doesn't get to cry about his service seeking behavior being declined either.

If anything, I think we can all agree this is probably one of the worst reasons that DSP lost his partnership, regardless of whether or not you take MUH RIGHTS side or the correct side.

Put me in the camp that thinks this was a response to his recent ban and not his departnering. His 24 hour rule violation was so blatant even he couldn’t argue against it besides “I’ve been doing it so long without repercussions, they can’t change that now!”

It's an all you can eat buffet of reasons why Twitch would departner Phil now and not accept his readmission request in six months, Amber Reid wishes she could find such a well stocked set of choices anywhere in scooty puff riding range to fill a plate from.

I just want to echo this again. If this is actually Twitch's exact wording (which like some of you I think is a little doubtful, but we'll roll with it here for the lulz) then DSP wasn't just released for a single instance of saying nigger or some stupid shit like that. "inappropriate conduct", do they mean like gaslighting people by telling them they are idiots. I may be reading too much in to it but that's 100% what I get from that knowing that's almost a tic for DSP.

Thoughts? Thots?

Edit: "Section 4.2.7 Appropriate conduct agreement"? Someone got that?
