I know this take isn't exactly uncommon, but I despise the generic "anime" art style that is common now.
It just all looks the same. Yeah that's likely the point as it saves production time but doesn't make it less boring.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. As such, if something's art style or character designs don't appeal to me, I won't watch it no matter how "good" the plot is.

Forefront redhead looks like a cross between Frankie from Foster's Home and Bessie from The Mighty Bee. Coincidentally she looks the least ugly IMO.

Uzaki has a decent design in theory, but the art style is so fucking awful I cannot enjoy it.
Any styles that puts plenty of effort into the wrinkles and clothing, but then absolutely give up on the face irritate me to no end.

I've seen this character pop up a lot, but I don't know anything about her. What exactly is her appeal, aside from the two obvious reasons? I'm not a fan of the short hair or the fang, and her eyes creep me out.
These look they were designed by one of those scam "How to Draw Anime!" books that were mentioned in the thread. The last girl looks like she's wearing clothes a Tumblrite hastily put together.
