how hard could it possibly be to update his patreon, if he's going to rely on it so heavily? For most people the ritual begging would be more taxing than updating patreon. He must just not mind begging, or at least feel like it's not costing him anything.

I suspect things are falling apart for him. It wouldn't surprise me if his whole khando is filthy since he has no visitors and the only other resident doesn't appear to be at full bars either. He looks physically unwell and is clearly afraid to take positive steps to change his circumstances, including steps that were within his ability not that long ago like maintaining patreon or going to the doctor/getting a vaccine.

Phil maybe your parents could come stay with you for a few weeks and help you get things together? Just a suggestion.
 
The fact that Dave is admitting defeat that he wont get paid thus the marathon stream, and the fact he kept mentioning how it is "illegal" for Twitch not to pay him makes me think he got an email saying "HAHAHA we wont pay you because you broke the contract that we stated in the previous email, suck a dick loser. Thanks for the money, dummy." Plus he is asking people on Twitter on how YouTube payments can be tracked, this fully states that he got an email from Twitch about not getting paid this month. We will see the pigroach beg like crazy during that marathon and it will be glorious. However, I feel like Dave might be lying and he knows or predicts that he will get paid by Twitch and is just bitching about not getting paid to get some extra dollars from his fans. There is no way his viewers will ever know if he got paid, so this is a perfect opportunity to make bank on his dumb-ass fans. Either way, Dave will bank on the marathon and be able to play the victim card to seem innocent and gain more gay love from his mentally slow fans.

Also I found it funny he said today that most of his Twitch subs came from people who just wanted to help Dave out and nothing more. It was not because of the emotes or badges or the immunity from sub only mode in chat, but the fact his fans cared for him. Yet, none of those subs went to paymetons to put in their help for Dave. He has about 70 patrons out of the 900 subs from Twitch, so only about 7% of his subs went to paymetons. Dude that shows you that only the minority of your fans give two flying shits about you. People subbed to you because they had Prime which is free so no wasting money, they subbed because they liked having your emotes and the feeling of exclusivity, and the rest are gifted subs so those people will definitely not go to paymetons. The funny part in all this is Dave knows this, he said along the lines of "if you were subbed to me on Twitch why didn't you go to paymetons but I haven't seen an increase so I guess you don't care, what the hell *snort" Face it Dave people only subbed to you because of the exclusivity and perks, the gifted subs, or used a prime sub; and not because they want to help you live a $120,000 lifestyle. The walls are closing in and you are just realizing that no one cares about you; your wife, your cat, your parents, your fans, and God don't give two shits about you. See you in Hell you fat lazy piece of shit.

He actually touched on the Twitch payment briefly, it's more :lunacy: than this even. Can't remember which prestream it was on, but he said after his first support form to Twitch he sent another one asking for a reason why he got unpartnered & also asked them if he'd be getting paid for the streams he did before getting unpartnered. Their response was along the lines of "hey, this is Twitch partner support, we don't know, ask our legal team, here's their email."

He believes that because they told him they don't know, and directed him to the branch of support that would actually be able to help him, that means Twitch isn't going to pay him. It was never suggested or implied by Twitch at any point, he's just assuming they won't with a pretty asinine reason.

Phil's daily life is a roguelike that he has gotten progressively worse at for over 12 years. He begs, spends money, and drinks till his brain cells die. He respawns the next morning to do it all over again.
 
The great thing about this upcoming begathon is that it doesn't matter if he low balls the $$$$ he expects it will still require him to show how much money he got from Twitch every month, the money that shall not be mentioned if you wish not to be banned.
 
I think the thing that perplexes me about Phil lately is that he’s got some amount of self awareness that he needs to do something beyond the normal routine to “make up” for the lost source of revenue from cheers and subs but just sits on his hands and demands his audience to figure something out. It’s one thing to ask for suggestions but it’s a whole different beast where he’s simply putting down his tools and not even attempting to think of something.

Phil baby, you claim people come to your streams to see you, why are you squirming? Have you finally realized that you possibly can’t half ass your streams anymore? You should have attempted to make changes YEARS ago instead of now where you “need” to make payments on things.

The reality is, Phil people don’t come to your streams to see good gameplay. You’re absolutely poor at 97% of games and that’s fine but your ego is so soft that you can’t even admit when you fuck up in a game so that makes you look like a immature retard. People don’t come for your personality or knowledge on subjects because you don’t know anything. You have no life and hardly any hobbies and the ones that you do have, you don’t want to admit. So question is Phil, why the fuck should someone donate to you? You have fuck all to offer and your personality isn’t appealing. We all may be detractors but you don’t need to be a detractor to see that you’re a D- level streamer.

I love this current story arc so much. Impeccable writing. Watching him get increasingly unhinged and making drunk whale call tweets is just.... *chef's kiss*

It just amazes me how much of this is unnecessary on his part if he would just give in and live within his means. But Dave has never been about that life, he thinks he DESERVES the best quality of life and refuses to cut back a little. We saw it when he moved across the country and bought a bunch of shit he didn't need, including leasing a BMW when he only leaves the house once a week to buy groceries. He could've gotten a cheaper car, but he thought the good times were going to last forever and didn't put anything away for a rainy day. Whatever he gets he just spends immediately, because saving money is obviously irresponsible. I keep thinking back to that Ask The King (?) episode where he answered some question about what you should use Christmas/birthday/gift money on, and he was adamant about saying none of that money should ever be spent on bills, it should be used for something fun to treat yourself. I am sure he sees all the tips coming in like this, so he funnels it all back into his true passion - a fucking WWE Candy Crush mobile game. If he wasn't flushing money down the toilet on that game, he would have plenty of money to live. But no, it's all bonus money that he needs to spend instead of saving it for unexpected things like........ losing his Twitch partnership.

I can't get over the gall and inflated self-worth one must feel to think that they deserve the internet to give them $200 for two hours of Pokemon Snap. Why? What are you offering me to make it worth my while? A quick shoutout followed by more immediate begging?

Now more than ever I hope the whale support dries up soon. His whales need to demand more transparency on where that money is going. He could get away with smaller tip goals when he had other means of income (which he still does, actually!), but the whales need to stand up for themselves and ask what kind of mortgage costs $10,000 a month.

I actually watched a video from a guy who streams Path of Exile recently who was talking about quitting the game and quitting streaming, his whole thing was completely antithetical to DSP.
Summarized basically "I don't like the game anymore, I'm just gonna quit. I have a master's degree so I'll just get a job; I don't enjoy other games as much so I'll just quit playing games and find a job."

Perfect candidate for this sort of video honestly

Do you guys ever get really angry listening to Phil spew bullshit? Like he can say all this shit without consequence because he is in his hugbox of a chat where anyone who challenges him is immediately removed. Maybe that's why he is so brazen and toxic, because he has always gotten away with it. Either way I have to take a vacation from all of this because getting pissed off all the time is exhausting.

I personally don't because in the end I know that the vast majority of normal people don't care about him at all, and would immediately recognize him for the complete idiot that he is if they ever did see or listen to him. It helps to occasionally show your friends and family clips of his more ridiculous moments since you can both share a nice chuckle, and it's a sobering reminder that Phil will never truly be respected by society despite his best efforts otherwise.

I used to get annoyed on occasion, until I realised that the amount of money he gets makes no difference, it will never be enough and he will always be terrible with it. Plus whilst many would swap their income for his, no one would swap their life situation.

What Phil offers in exchange for X amount of dollars per day in tips is not something he has ever thought about, nor will he ever factor it into his calculations. The only thing he thinks about is whether he has a "need" for X amount of dollars in tips daily. That's it. He really needs that money, therefore that's what he asks for, and if he doesn't get it, it sucks.

Why? Because he's a spoiled shithead that life hasn't been hard enough on. Even at his peak, when he wasn't as bad as he is today, he was still about the most awful entertainer you could imagine. Didn't stop him from making ridiculous amounts of money, just as his decrepit state today doesn't stop him from peaking his potential income. His life still manages to suck, yes, but it has not been from things beyond his control. Fate has not yet slapped him with any of the shit it frequently visits upon others who are way better people than he could ever be. And compared to others who suck and have paid consequences, Phil has gotten off way too light. Just look at Spoony. Not dead yet, but he lost his other half and almost all of his fans. More than can be said for the pigroach thus far.

Phil knows nothing of suffering, and he better pray he never does either, because it'll kill him.
 
Watching the quiet desperation of DSP as he squirms and waits for someone to save him from a problem of his own making while still refusing to do the bare minimum to improve his stream makes me feel so good.
 
Phil's laziness and entitlement know no bounds. It's stupefying.
He didn't do anything wrong to get unpartnered from Twitch so why should he make changes? That's how his entitled mind works. This faggot was doxxed years ago and he still hasn't changed his phone number. The same logic applies here too. It's not his fault he got doxxed so why should he pay the price of making an effort to change his phone number? The trolls did this to him so they're the ones that need to change his phone number!

When Phil is punished for doing nothing wrong it's not his responsibility to rectify his situation. Why? Because he did nothing wrong!
It's the entitled victim mentality.

If you think about it, the only times Phil adopted changes to his work were times he was left with no other choice.
Twitch not banning him outright has put his career in an autistic limbo that has left him dazed. His greed and entitlement (reinforced with laziness) are forces fighting each other.
