The problem with this is that their goal isn't so much to make his points ridiculous, it's more to affirm the beliefs of those around them to be that of their own. Say they show someone a stonetoss comic that isn't an edit, and they react the wrong way to it. Bam! Secret nazi found! Or if they say the edit is stupid, etc. If these asshats ever cared about converting people they'd come up with a method to rebuke their political opponents that don't involve leveraging society and media to smear them as horrible monsters worthy of only scorn.

This is one of the most smooth-brained takes I've ever seen on the confederate flag, it's history, and how it relates as a symbol to the south. This is coming from a guy who thinks it's gay as fuck to be seen with one. The civil war as a conflict and the reasons people feel pride in that flag are more complicated than "they were traitors and racists, lol" or "repeal the 13th lmao fuck niggers". It's as brain-dead as getting pissed about people who like the original U.S. flag, with the reason being that "they were just a bunch of uppity colonists turned traitor who were pissed about taxes".

T_D refugees and others in that vein are trying to use this site for political sperging instead of its intended purpose. Null has expressed frustration with it numerous times. I have the exact same distaste for the Tumblrinas that used to set up camp here as well.

This thread is for documenting and discussing embarrassing/autistic behavior. If you want to gush about how amazing you think this guy is, make a post in Media. You're allowed to like his content-- but that's not what this particular thread is for.

Not every thread is entirely negative, though, and this one is inherently political so it's going to generate those kinds of posts. It's true of other cows in the section too, like Venti or Aydin Paladin's threads - half of them is people drooling over them with thirst. I just use the ignore feature for that shit and really it leads to people not having to deal with you posting complaining posts about it. You can still see content from people you ignored easily enough if you're logged in, it's really not a big deal.

And more importantly unless you're going around telling everyone, nobody will know you use it or how many people you have blocked. And nobody will give a shit either and people won't have to read complaint posts that come off like backseat moderation. After all, if it's that big of an issue you could've just reported the post(s) instead of complaining about it.

Prediction: it's not going to get a real answer. Because that's not the real issue that @Bani was trying to address.

Just read what he wrote. I'm going to be real for a moment and say I think at the core @Bani is annoyed that some people express genuine like of stonetoss. This bothers him because in his mind they let slip their mask of perfect ironic detachment. That's what I see when I read his post. You're allowed to like his content, but not in this thread!

You know when people were buttblasted that stonetoss got a thread it was pretty funny. Stonetoss isn't a lolcow! Remove the thread! Most of those posts were moved to spergatory a seperate thread. And then when people get angry that people might express appreciation for stonetoss, that's funny too. Why does that bother anyone? Lol, I just don't get that.
