Doing that might reveal him. Dobs mentioned he's keeping a list of patrons and if someone flunks out before being charged, he'll ban him in the future...

While I'm not really against a bit of shit-stirring, this kinda feels weeny and wrong.
Not condemning you for doing it or telling you to stop, it's just more funny to confront Dobbers with his actual fuckups.
In a way, it's more entertaining to rub his face into the pile of shit he produced and watch him retch as he realizes that it's the unadultered truth. Making up stories gives him a convenient escape route of going "Everything is a LIE!".
Heh, Dobby's not gonna ban any patrons. No matter what, they're still potential money, and as he's outright said before he's only in the art world for money.

But to be honest in a way , I wish the whole giving him pledges and backing out thing would stop because i think it'd be funnier if his number of patrons stayed consistently low .

I'm...what? How does the entirety of this thing happen and you don't portray any of it in your fanart of the thing that happened?

If someone asked me to draw that scene, I'd still at least make the attempt to look up the scene I'm drawing and make sure people knew what was going on even though I know jack shit about the series and I can't draw for shit.

What's the old expression? "A picture is worth a thousand words"? Dobby managed to find an inverse of that.

I decided to look for the scene since I'm a complete n00b myself regarding Steven's Universe , surely enough, Dobson could have done so much more.

Considering the emotional weight and visuals of the scene, Dobson's portrayal was (predictably) underwhelming.

This scene seems genuinely unsettling even for a kids' cartoon. There's so much more emotion in both the villain's and blue lady's face than the wallpaper by Dobby would leave me to believe. And the freaky, four-eyed, four-armed monster struggling frantically in water-shackles at the bottom of the ocean could have made for a great wallpaper instead of just the blue lady looking like she's jacking off in a kiddy pool.

God, Dobson doesn't even get an A for effort.

Non-artist here: what does this actually mean? is Dobhead obliviously parroting otherwise good advice, or is he obliviously parroting bullshit?
Composition is incredibly important in art. Without it, a picture can seem too busy or otherwise unappealing. Doing it right requires the proper use of space in relation to the subject of a piece, and having an unbalanced composition can make a picture look sloppy. Like Dobson's work.

EDIT: I'd like to add that Lapis isn't exactly just sitting at the bottom of the ocean, looking up at the surface and acting all sad. She's actually losing her mind and identity.

I think he's referring to classic framing methods like the golden spiral and the rules of thirds grid-

Edit: I doubt dobson cares about any of that.

@fishercat is right in regards to composition- it's an important tool that can make or break a picture even more so than terrible art skills. The problem is that with Dobson, bad art+piss-poor composition=artistic genius. When in fact it's the exact opposite and Dobson doesn't seem to realize this.

That's why we keep mocking the shit out of him, he's a terrible artist, a whiny hack that even Wu hates and to top it off, he's lazy.

He's to busy smugly retweeting people

What is the alternative to balanced then? Unbalanced? Why would you purposefully choose to make a composition unbalanced? Unless it is for the purpose of making the scene askew and therefore unsettling for the viewer ... maybe?

I'm going to give that twit the benefit of the doubt since it seems to come from a fairly competent artist and I guess this is an example of someone who "knows the rules therefore can bend them", but since Dobson loves to take things out of context he is applying it as a justification to excuse his own lack of knowledge when it comes to making a composition balanced.

Wow. We're really getting under his skin. Keep fighting the good fight Skeltn warriors!

Fuck, if Dobson had just used his own fucking name in AzP's piratey map, it would've been fine. It would've shown he has an ego the size of Jupiter, but that just shows he glorifies himself.

Whenever you name something after someone else, there are two reasons for it:

1) Laziness.
2) Acknowledging them in some manner.

This is why, in the states, there's a lot of things called Washington, Lincoln, and Roosevelt. These were great people and we want to acknowledge them as such. Also probably laziness.

Dobson is definitely lazy, but I can think of about twelve other fake country names before I use the last name of some woman that I've routinely retweeted and supported. If you're trying to claim that you're not obsessive over them, you're really shit at hiding it.

So, this is the second wallpaper he made that's not even remotely within standard resolutions?
What the fuck is this shit? With his AzP wallpaper, I joked he made it so you can crop out Furfag and Doormat and enjoy having Lesbainkick and GypsyPirate together... but here?

How can someone fuck that up? He's making artwork for a certain purpose (ie: a wallpaper), and he only hands it out in one size - which isn't even the size of a regular screen, let alone its aspect ratio...
Usually, artists offer such images in 2 or 3 different standard-resolutions, so you can pick up the one you can use the easiest. Dobs doesn't even hand out one.
There's a .zip file of different sizes actually, I just chose the one he used as an example since I don't want more of Dobson's art on my computer than necessary.
