That's a good point to bring up, and it really highlights his atrociously intolerant attitude.

According to Preston, Christmas is objectively superior to Hanukkah, and "Western" sensibilities are objectively superior to Japanese "ignorance." You'd never expect this from a man who claims to uphold the virtues diversity and tolerance. Sorry to rehash what's been said here many times before, but Preston's hypocrisy is revolting.
 
Endlessly brutal job markets and college entrance exams? No, clearly it must be hentai. Hentai is the only thing people in Japan watch after all.

It's also funny to see him use the most old, conservative argument against gay people ("they aren't producing offspring!") as an argument against the country here. I guess anything to fuel his raging hatred of those dang dirty Japs.

I hate to weeb out but this is actually something I really admire about Japan. I feel like the audiences there have a quite mature division between enjoying media and needing it to endorse the viewers' politics or ethics. How else could a country with some of the most reserved etiquette on earth also produce all that hentai Dobson hates? (I'm so sure :tomgirl:) These identity politics fuckwads in the US could learn a lot from that.

I think it's probably because of the popularity of Japanese media among nerds. Most SJWs are nerds themselves, and most of them like to make a big deal about targeting things that are popular, to show how cool and rebellious they are.

While you are not the first person to point this out, LOTS of us have noticed this, it is absolutely outrageous that this anti-Semitic asshole has been allowed to get away with his pro-Holocaust sentiments for so long.

Weird porn doesn't stop people from fucking. People are right, though, that it's a brutal job market and other socioeconomic issues that have been giving Japan a lot of problems with birth rates.

SJWs are a class of hipsters. As in the type who go "oh, that's mainstream/kind of popular among x circle, so I'll hate on it to show that I'm so much better than them and more discerning." It's downright insulting to nerds, to compare SJWs to us. Nerds tend to care about context, lore, and nuance and, from my experience, enjoy what we enjoy with downright enthusiasm and exuberance. SJWs have such black and white thinking and the refusal to see things through a different lens. They are also fundamentally humorless and seem incapable of having fun, seeing even the things they enjoy as potentially "problematic." And it isn't even a situation of thinking through implications of a story or setting, but making shit up so they can attack the creators for something they're projecting onto a work.

This different lenses I speak of are historical context of the time of writing (Huckleberry Finn was written back when people used "nigger" commonly and Mark Twain was excellent at verisimilitude), historical context for the setting (guess what? something set in medieval era is not going to have a shitload of openly gay characters unless you want them all to die by stoning immediately after introducing them), or cultural contexts being different (an alien world, a drastically alternate timeline, or fantasy world will have different mores than the 21st century far left in the United States, if the writer actually gives a shit about making their world consistent). SJWs will ignore all that, insisting that things must conform to their current view as of right this second.
