I think the "neurodivergent" movement started as a good thing, (let's accept and not bully Jimmy with the facial tic and Bobby who's obsessed with trains due to autism,) but as usual the internet took it too far and now in order to be cool you have to be "neurodivergent" to the point kids are making disabilities up. It reminds me a little of the "body positivity" movement which went from "lt's not photoshop models to look like holocaust victims" to "deathfats are healthy at any size."
It's like thrse kids don't understand you don't need a random label from a doctor to be unique and have your own perception of things. We are all divergent mental illness/disability or not.

The alternative is simple. Just treat people with disabilities the same (as human beings) as anyone else. Don't treat them like they are "special," have "special powers," or are somehow more deserving of asspats. It's super patronizing to people with actual disabilities. Most want to be treated the same as anyone else (granted with understanding for the services they may need.) Most understand that they aren't of less or more value as a human because of a disability.

Ok I get what you’re saying and I agree. I thought you were one of those retards who think we could just beat or ignore the ADHD/autism/PTSD out of someone and they’ll be normal. Honestly I think the whole insert disorder here means I’m special was just a cope actual disabled people have since their conditions are incurable and probably a net negative on their life. Munchies must ironically have some personality disorder to WANT to be disabled.
There definitely is a happy medium: both acknowledging that a disability is a problem and uncoupling it from any moral judgement. It sucks to have tics, seizures, one leg, etc., but it's not that person's fault and they shouldn't be judged negatively for it ... but we also shouldn't glamorize it. In a world full of #DisabilityWarriors, everyone wants a piece of the attention.
Health problems are also a classic First World way of signaling femininity. Look how delicate I am! As long as we have attention whores, we'll have Munchies in one form or another.
I think the extended picture can be illustrated by baby Luna. small PL but I have worked with disabilities of many degrees, but lots of severely disabled children. Some moms will go into denial or... whatever Empath Nutritionist is doing. So inspirational! Same as anyone! Living her best life! But when you work with these kids you learn their lives are quite physically painful. So she shouldn't be treated the same as any baby. She should get seizure meds and pain killers.
Also, I see my clients with severe autism struggle in public and it is so incredibly sad sometimes. Society is NOT giving many real autistic people with behaviors and communication issues many asspats. They don't get to choose to freak out at the subway officer to their benefit and get articles about it. They are melting down because I gave them a real muffin and not mini-muffins. Little jimmy is still getting bullied.
That's why I think this super high functioning awareness is clearly not effective. We are all very aware now. But the bullying has not changed.
Hesitant to shit up the thread any more, but the original academic slash activist definition of neurodiversity was more oriented around pointing out ways in which society exacerbates disability (e.g. autistic people with sound sensitivities have more trouble nowadays than previously, because there's cars, trains, airplanes etc. everywhere being loud), and also pointing out that not everything weird that people do needs to be fixed or is worth fixing (e.g. if you have an autistic kid that doesn't make eye contact, teaching them they have to make eye contact is going to be really hard work, will make them miserable, isn't going to make people like them more, and doesn't actually improve their social or communication skills, so what's the point; let's maybe focus more effort on trying to stop kiddo banging his head against walls rather than stopping him from flapping his hands when he's happy). It wasn't supposed to be about people with neurodevelopmental issues being special, or perfect, or never having actual behavioural problems that are negative to them and those around them - it was supposed to be about tolerating differences, and pointing out that not all differences are harmful. Naturally, as with every useful word or movement ever, internet activists and social media asspat-grabbers managed to fuck it up, though - because unlike regular disabled people who would just like to live their best life, please, the asspat-grabbers desperately want to be special and oh-so-visible.

not unexpected. She fucked around and found out. You can’t keep pushing your body to the edge and expecting it to bounce back. Girl starved and purged herself into heart failure and refused to do anything about it until it was too late. the only way I would be surprised by one of these girls dying is if it WASN’T the result of their behavior. Like if one of them gets shot in a home invasion by a complete stranger, then I will be surprised.
same shit happened when Jaquie died. “Omg so unexpected!” How? I knew she was a goner when she started abusing opiates and weed all the time and drugging herself into a coma every day and night, I just expected an OD rather than exploding viscera.
That said, I’ve yet to find any proof of the MS post being true.

This clinical psychology report summary confirms she is not officially diagnosed with autism (although says 'its likely' she has had plenty of chances to get diagnosed) and is hinting multiple personalities?!?
It appears to be the reports sent through before the child protection conference and will have been one part of multiple professionals reports, only the lord knows what the others said if this was what she felt like sharing:
Hang on. Clinical report - So she "was in a sexual relationship with someone that had domination which she seems to regret". Clinical psych had 2 personalities answer the question whether it was always consensual. Little Sara said yes. Agony autie Sara said no. Little Sara didn't want the person punished but agony autoe Sara did?
Sorry I feel silly. But I feel like I didn't know this. I've tried searching the thread for this realtionship and got nothing.
I came here to post it. It appears her socials medias (IG) were scrubbed. Given how sick she was it is not suprising that she has passed away. I was not able to find an obituary, nor have I seen any social media posts about her death. One person wrote "RIP" on her instagram. It is well within the families right to keep it private, but something seems fishy. Given that munchsnark seems to be going to hell in hand basket with the amount of WK and soap boxing my spidery senses are up.
Also, PTP is super annoying and thrives off being discussed on Reddit. Her biggest issue is borderline personality disorder rather than munchie by internet. She inserts feeding tubes and states a new disease every other week for attention rather than actual attempt at faking a disorder.

When I was a janny at IFGW I lobbied to get PTP removed as a topic because she thrived on being discussed and brought out all the other cluster Bs in the comments. When Jaquie died her former friend Julian quietly got her tube pulled, but less than a year later had gotten a new one installed. Skinwalker and Jan both doubled down, Jan even announcing an unnecessary invasive abdominal surgery in honor of Jaquie. I found Sarah-Jean entirely because she made a video mourning Jaquie then doubled down on her PortQuest and started purging on camera. Magically Mozart, another girl Jaquie knew in her early years, started giving herself major infections and probably got a port and tube she hasn't shown yet because she knows she will get backlash. She and Skinwalker were acively talking shit about Jaquie while jaquie was dying. Another Trevino patient starved herself and constipated herself with opiates until she nearly gave herself the exact same complication that killed Jaquie.
No one's mind is going to be changed by this. If anything it will cause a vacuum and they'll all clamor to fill it.
(I do have one example of what may have been a girl deciding not to let Trevino butcher her because Jaquie died, but I have to check my notes and see if the dates line up.)

Oh don’t worry, they don’t care about that. They won’t give this a second thought, just a sad post on ig story and move on. ALF death is only one of the many examples that fucking with your body can have consequences years later. Even though her ED wasn’t as prominent in the last year or so, the damage she had done in the past got to her.
Edit: just saw the proof. I knew it was coming but I thought she would last at least few months tbh. Also - Paige managed to outlive another munchie soul, wow.
