Dobby should change his fursona to a parrot. He repeats what he thinks people want to hear with no understanding of what he actually says, and occassionally seasons it with random words like "HATURZ", "BATMAN" and "PTSD".

I got introduced to Dobson back when his comics made front page on dA, and admit to liking some of them. Not enough to laugh, but I could nod sagely and think, "yeah, I can relate to the printer being dumb". Then he started making fun of shooting incidents, spun everything for pity points, and generally became insufferable. At some point I stumbled into his EDF thread, and the more I read the more I started to hate this guy and his raging hypocrisy. Like, it's okay to be mediocre and not aim for something higher; I won't judge anybody for that. I will, however, judge the shit out of him for his woe-is-me attitude and his refusal to accept any worldview other than his own. The last twinge of sympathy I had for him evaporated after he cried DEPRESHUN and yet kept staying on Twitter posting stupid things he KNEW would get negative responses (and then tweeted how terribly sad/triggered he felt, guys, asspats pls).

tl;dr Dobson is a terrible [artist/person] and I would not [commission/pity] him.
 
Yes, Dobson, keep listing all the things trolls can do to bother you. That can only lead to good!

It is okay to be mediocre, most people are.
It is even more okay, if you are happy with your the place in life - that is a sort of tranquility most people never achieve in their lives. You don't need to become 'da Vinci' if you are already happy...

But no matter how often 'da Pompa' says, that it is okay to be mediocre, he is clearly not okay with himself being mediocre. He obviously wants to be an publicly recognized artist, he even has a comic called "So... you are a cartoonist?".

He lies to himself by saying, that it is okay if he's mediocre, because either he can bring himself to sit down and try to improve his art and his sense for humor... or he realized that he is -in fact- not going to become better and has wasted his life. I still think the first one is the case.

He even goes one step beyond - he's trying to make people accept mediocrity as if it was equal to mastery.

He's trying to change what people think by claiming that every piece of "art" has something to be admired for, he tries to stiffle and shut off any kind of criticism and he's trying to come to terms with his own mediocrity by making excuses.
And he's doing all that while claiming to be a nice guy trying to deal with this huge amount of 'toxic behaviour'* - so you're either with him and another nice guy, or you're some meany shitlord that just wants to twoll poor Andrew Dobson by saying the mean words to him.

Yeah, in a way Dobson does not try to raise his own bar, but lower the bar of everyone else.

"...lowing the bar of everyone else..." *snickers* ... so yeah, you can argue that Dobson is some kind of "giant cock block" when it comes to fun.

I have never seen a Pikachu tail like that... as in the patch bit should be at the base of the tail.

Also those are solely Ninty games, nothings saying he isn't crusading against anything not Nintendo. Because he is.

That Venusaur/Ivysaur thing looks like a bush, and Squirtle looks like a blue Koopa.

And that Shyguy... It looks like it just realized the futility of escaping the pic, and is now quietly contemplating its existence.

Also, Charizard has a broken neck.

Everybody knows you're a Nintendo fanboy, Dobson, and will shit on any other games with the exception of Skyrim. Maybe if there was variety in the characters he put there then he might have been more convincing.

I would have drawn a few new sketches of current games and not attached a smug comment to that tweet, but baby steps are still steps nonetheless!

He's citing a hideous picture of Nintendo characters as proof he likes games? With that kinda quality it looks like he's never played a game before and he looked up a buncha games so he could draw this

Also, Midna looks like a lizard, and Wario looks exactly like fat a fat mario, he has the same mouth and eyes, he also appears to be trying to get Zelda to touch his junk.
