Ah fuck I just remembered that episode of Animaniacs where Slappy loses her mind and goes to a retirement home, and Skippy gets put up in a foster home and can only visit Slappy every so often. Can't remember the title of it.

"One flew over the Cuckoo Clock" - I remember it hitting pretty close to home the last time I watched it. Definitely one of the better (if not best) later episodes.
