Unpopular Opinions about Video Games

Anybody who pays attention to the story of any Nintendo game, not just the mongoloid-tier autists who try to construct Zelda and DK timelines, must have had their mother not just drop them as a baby, but hold them by the ankles and swung around a very small room. Whenever Nintendo tries to do anything more than the basic setup of 'There is Bad Guy, go and defeat him, Hero!' the story is always the most boring waste of time there could possibly be.

Can't mention autistic game timelines without mentioning Shin Megami Tensei.

-JRPGs should just be called Simplified Strategy Games. The most you get in terms of "role playing" in them is SMT where you're basically just choosing a color like Mass Effect 3
-Vanquish is overrated
-Bayonetta is overrated
-Platinums best game is Max Anarchy
-Monster Hunter is just PSO Episode 1&2 but boring. Most of the "monsters" are just fucking dinosaurs.
-Viva Pinata is better than Animal Crossing
-Splosion Man is underrated

The Pachinko Machine in Mario Sunshine is piss easy and I don't understand what people are going on about when they say it's hard.

I recently 100 percented Sunshine for the first time and I had heard the Pachinko part of the game and was expecting something hard but it was so easy. I just used the Hover Nozzle and I had no trouble whatsoever and it was done in no time.

Like seriously someone explain why it's supposed to be so hard, because there are so many other things in Sunshine that are much more diffcult than that Pachinko machine and I would genuinely say it is one of the easiest stars in the game.

In my case I got stuck on it because I went in with the Rocket Nozzle. It didn't initially occur to me to use the Hover Nozzle because I didn't notice the boat passing right under the bridge, which led me to assume I could only enter using the rocket jump. When I finally noticed the boat, I realized, hey, maybe I can go with a nozzle that doesn't completely suck.

You're right that the Hover Nozzle trivializes it. It took me a couple tries but it was significantly easier than using the Rocket Nozzle. I can't speak for others but that was what tripped me up so hard about that part. The physics are also wonky as hell sometimes (there was one point where I managed to get all the red coins and got to the center but Mario spazzed out and fell off the board right as I was about to grab the Shine Sprite).

The fight with Demyx in KH2 wasn't that bad.
Maybe I was okay with it because Demyx is my fave organization member, but legit to me his fight wasn't that hard after you beat his ass in a corner and smack him so he can't move and drag the fight out. Everyone keeps saying he's hard as shit, but for me Saix was a pain in the ASS.

Interestingly Shigeru Mayamoto says the Mario and Zelda characters are basically actors with the games being like different shows they act in.
It's why he doesn't really care about continuity and why the characters kart race together without trying to kill eachother

FFVII Remake isn’t just a good game, it’s a great game, full stop.

There’s no denying that a lot of what made the original great is what makes FFVIIR great, but it’s faithful to the charm of the source material and brings a lot of its own ideas to the table.

The only major story change I didn’t like was how they wimped out of the horror of Shinra dropping the plate by claiming most of the people evacuated. I get they didn’t want to overly darken the tone of the Aerith rescue in the last third of the game, something that was easier to pull off in the art style of the original, but it kind of cheapened Shinra as an antagonist.

Games giving you amazing scenery but like two feet of interactive enviroment space is a ripoff. It was okay for 64bit Playstation and its' limitations, but it's a waste of modern console horsepower and a shitty product-design to do so in 2021.
Not everything has to be open world, but get gud and stay gud on immersion of some sort.

Mario Kart has added more reoccurring characters to the overall franchise and repeat locations than any of the main games combined.

They've yet to do a farm themed level for any of the mario platformers though. All the mario loremasters tend to put the kart racers higher in expanding the overall lore and scope of the world than Galaxy 1 and 2, 64, and Sunshine combined. Odyssey was probably the only main game that bothered to really expand and elaborate the world since the NES and SNES games.

The only proper response to anything coming out the mouth of a 'Mario loremaster' is 'shut the fuck up, faggot.'

They do exist. They're retards who waste time and energy trying to piece the games together and taking everything super seriously instead of actually using the time to play the games and have fun. They think they're superior fans who "truly" understand the games better than anyone else, when really they're just a bunch of unfun faggots.
