Disaster President Biden is crumbling before our eyes - There is no clear answer as to why his team do not trust the president to give a press conference

Joe Biden’s decline has become so painful to see and so embarrassing to watch that it feels cruel to mention it. But it’s even more cruel that Biden’s team act as if it’s not happening, and most of America’s media look the other way.

On Thursday night, Biden marked the first anniversary of the Covid-19 shutdowns and his fiftieth day in the White House by giving the first televised address of his presidency. He hadn’t been seen in public for three days.

From the moment he wheezed up to the lectern and peered into the camera, you could tell Biden was on top form: croaky sentiment, sporadic belligerence, and only the occasional moment when he looked oddly distant and perplexed.

He got through twenty minutes, then tottered off without taking any questions. This is how low the bar now is for Biden. And we can see how hard Biden has to fight, and what a long run-up he requires, if he is to clear it.

We can see it in his struggle to follow the simple lines on his autocue, and in his bungling of the simplest ad-libs. We see it in the clips of his increasingly desperate handlers trying to block him from questions at his rare and carefully managed appearances before the cameras. Most of all, we see it in his eyes.

“What am I doing here?” Biden asked after fumbling his autocue lines in an address in Texas in late February. He reached for the cue cards that are now his constant companion. “I’m gonna lose track here.”

Biden’s supporters call him “gaffe-prone”. It’s true: he’s always thought with his mouth open. It’s also true that he bravely overcame a speech impediment in childhood, and that anxiety and age can cause a stutter to recur. But these aren’t gaffes or stutters.

Compare how he moves and sounds now to how he was a year ago, let alone five years ago. Biden looks and sounds frail. He seems visibly distressed at his inability to carry out the simplest requirements of office – and at a time when the requirements are simpler than usual.

When Biden dodged the press during last year’s election campaign, his aides called it Covid-19 precautions. As the pandemic ends, he will run out of excuses for not travelling. He doesn’t look capable of leading an international summit, let alone taking the proverbial 3 a.m. phone call.

Earlier this week, the Commander-in-Chief forgot the name of the largest department in the US government, the Department of Defense, as well as the name of the man he recently appointed as its leader, Lloyd Austin.

“Thank you to the Sec… the former general… I keep calling him general… my… my… the guy who runs that outfit over there,” he flailed.

Biden is the first President in decades to reach fifty days in office without giving a press conference. He missed giving the traditional speech to Congress in February. His handlers refuse to name when he might talk to the press, and only offer that it’s “something he will do in the future”.

There’s only one possible explanation. Biden’s team don’t trust him to manage one of the simplest requirements of modern political office. But they know they can’t defer the reckoning.

The longer Biden waits, the more newsworthy his delayed appearance will be, and the greater the scrutiny of his performance. And once Biden has surrendered to the rising expectation that he speak live and unscripted, he will be expected to do it again, and again, just like any other President.

This presidency is turning into a theatre of cruelty. It can only end one way. Sooner or later, Biden will be caught in the spotlight. The Democrats who promoted an unfit candidate to America’s highest office, and the media who covered for him, will be exposed as having betrayed their responsibilities to the American people. The people’s trust in democratic institutions will decline further. And we will all be party to Biden’s public humiliation.

I see Trumpists still aren't coping well after 50 days
I'm having a blast, honestly. I figured Biden would need a few more months before he really started burning bridges but I was wrong.

Like, you can dislike Trump and dislike Biden at the same time, they aren't mutually exclusive.

I'm 99% positive that all of this tribal political garbage comes from the fact that we can't get away from shit we find annoying anymore. I think I realized this when I started getting pissed off that snapchat was exposing me to retarded teen drama shit that 10 years ago I would only see if I was staring at the magazines when waiting in line at the supermarket, which in itself is a pretty banal thing to get annoyed at but then you realize it extends to politics, and as much as I'm irritated by woke shit or Qanon autism and I think it's ruining society I wouldn't be exposed to it if I wasn't on the internet all the time, and that goes for literally everyone with a modicum of political interest as well. Then compound that with the fact that the average person (even the majority of "smart" people) can't compose a political worldview with a fucking iota of nuance, you have everyone constantly being irritated with either information that doesn't fit their worldview or posts from the dumber people from the opposite end of the political spectrum that they'll cherry pick to create an overly-negative mental image of the opposition. All this leads to is people just being constantly pissed off and not wanting to admit the remote possibilty that the people they're constantly butthurt about are right about anything, i.e liberals being so whipped up into a frenzy with TDS and paranoia over redneck Qanon militias they can easily bend over backwards to ignore man's brain literally rotting in front of them.

I even remember Biden confidently telling media pressers and journalists that he would happily oblige the former POTUS to take a I.Q. cognition test if Trump didn’t believe it.
Didn't Trump take the test, everyone on the Left mocked him for bragging how he aced it and then when someone asked Biden if he would take one, the Dementia-Patient-In-Chief threw a tantrum and started ranting about how he wasn't taking no damn test 'cause he's clearly at the peak of health?

What happens if you win though?
It was the election bets thread so basically everyone there was stating who they thought would win the election and what they would do if they lost. I don’t remember anyone else’s bets tbh but I know most thought Trump would win, including myself.

What is with people shilling for the corpse-President we currently have? He's clearly ill, and clearly has been for a while; people have genuinely argued that Reagan had been unfit for office because he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's 5 years after his presidency and Biden is obviously worse than Reagan ever was.

Like, you can dislike Trump and dislike Biden at the same time, they aren't mutually exclusive.
Because this problem didn't magically manifest overnight. The media convinced everyone that Trump was this super danger to the Republic and he'd nuke China and promised everything would go back to normal. Biden basically copied and pasted Trump's 2k checks and the hilarity is people would have probably gotten more money under Trump than Biden.

The fact is the DNC controlled media knew about Biden's condition. The DNC knew about it. I figured Trump would lose because populists make a lot of enemies and Trump acted idiotically and didn't properly build political machines and help against the destruction of anyone to the right of Mao.

The problem is the media outlets need to keep shilling for him because if they don't, it would be quite obvious that they knew Biden was unfit and pushed him anyway. The DNC sure as fuck knew he was unfit and used him as a Trojan to get Harris the presidency. Harris is an unlikable cunt who will just be another puppet.

I think what is happening is they thought they could get a good year or two out of him and then replace him after the midterms, but the problem is he's degenerating much faster due to the stress of the job. He's probably confused a lot of the time and he's still cogent enough to know he's going through it, but he HAS to go through it to protect his crackhead son. The worst thing you can do to an Alzheimer's patient is stress them out. Stress releases cortisol, which increases inflammation, which can increase degeneration. Not to mention someone as old as him isn't meant to do this job.

Nancy Regan was able to keep it secret for years, but the 80s is not now. We're dominated by a constant lens on everything. Things you could keep hidden 20, 30, hell even 10 years ago is becoming harder and harder.

If its revealed now, there's absolutely no fucking way people didn't know. They used Biden as a tool and now its breaking far faster than they imagined. It'd be unprecedented for the media to hide a political candidate's degeneration as well as the political party knowingly running an unfit candidate. You can't hide this with 'Oh, a speech impediment' or 'Oh, he's just gaffing.' He appears visibly fucking confused and it takes every ounce of his mental effort to stay on point. He goes DAYS without being seen in public.

It was easy during the campaign because its just a campaign and you can run a shitty one. But it is far harder now. You can't just tuck him away for months at a time like RBG. it really is only a matter of time now. I predicted 6 months to a year but not even I predicted he'd degenerate as fast as he has. They can't fucking hide him forever. There's something clearly wrong if he hasn't done a single press conference or a State of the Union. It is not normal.

That's how tribal we've become and why I don't care if journos do a flip. No matter how tribal you are, country should come first. They're blatantly ignoring it. If a political party knowingly pushed an unfit candidate into the presidency, that's a fucking huge deal. But unlike progtards and journos, reality doesn't care about your feelings. Our enemies see it.

Why do you think China is saber rattling now and putting a ton of pressure to invade Taiwan? Why do you think they're purposefully humiliating diplomats? Why do you think Iran is making moves now and Israel is going out of control? Because our executive branch is extremely weak right now. Everyone sees Biden and knows he isn't in control and they know our government isn't made to be run by a machine, so they can start dragging it every which way.

What happens if there's a crisis and he doesn't address the nation? Or he does and he looks helpless, confusing words and stumbling over them. Inject him with as many drugs and stims as you want, its not going to help. Its obvious. He is unfit for the role. The media knows it, his handlers know it, the party knows it and our enemies know it.

The problem is it is too early to 25th him out. But its only a matter of time before the house of cards fully collapses.

maybe i'm wrong but is the author implying that a president would give the SOTU on their second month in office? That literally never happens. Everything else seemed spot on tho.
He's not talking about the SOTU, he's simply talking about press conferences in general. Biden is the first President in 100 years to wait this long.

I'll just use GOP rhetoric and say he's "being tough" on our adversary. Biden would have the balls to care about foreign bounties on American soldiers, at least.

I'm going to give you a big hint; the American military has had a bounty on its head since at least the 1990's (that I know of, saltier dogs can go back further). There's a reason why you only see the most vapid attention whores wearing their uniforms on planes or other places; even while the DoD put out a "do not travel in uniform" warning. The cartels will target military in Texas, especially if someone on their payroll is getting investigated. There's more, but the point I'm trying to get is this is shit that happens when you're in the "safe" USA. You go to a foreign or especially a hostile country and "THE ENEMY IS PUTTING A BOUNTY ON THE HEADS OF OUR SERVICE MEMBERS?!" Yeah, no shit, that's what happens in war zones and has been going on since at least Vietnam (Carlos Hathcock) in current history and God knows how long in the history of the world.

Here’s a concrete answer: ALZHEIMER’S. He has fucking Alzheimer’s! He’s had it since this whole thing started, but you were so fixated on Orange Man Bad that you allowed Old Man Retarded to skate.

hi, @Hollywood Hulk Hogan. Sorry, I know it’s been like 2 hours since you got to hear from me. I‘m sure you were sad about that. Dipshit.
There's no need to bother Hulk when we have the resident retard Jimmy Nugget to laugh at.

They took the "World Police" narrative they used as a criticism of Bush's foreign policy and decided they liked it now.

I, for one, am eagerly awaiting the appearance of that eminent brain-expert Dr Bandy Lee and her gang of 37 superbly qualified psychiatrists to appear on CNN to give their input on Biden’s suitability for office. Bonus points if they appear on ‘Reliable Sources’.

After all, they didn’t shut up about Trump for 4 whole years and the money must be getting tight by now.
