Aw damnit I missed 500. :(

As repentance for my sins, have a sexy Dobson.

LOL, I remember this! I was in that thread when Chochi did all those Dobby drawings, I even made some myself but they weren't as good, other artists did their "objectified womyn" Dobson drawings too and some lewd fanarts of his girl characters (mainly the ones from his SYAC).

Today's Dobbo Patreon update:

In case you think the final comparison is too harsh, just remember: This is the Batman that kills, uses a machine gun, drives around in a Tank running over innocent bystanders, kidnaps a 12 year old boy, forces said boy to eat rats, beats the crap out of Green Lantern, steals his Lantern Corps Ring, calls people retarded, tortures people indiscriminately, and slaps around women.

DC characters are iconic and idealized. They are characters you are suppose to want to be (For Example: the recent "Be the Bat" ad campaign). But I'm sorry, I don't think THIS version of Batman is the one we should be rooting for or wanting to be like.

Just my opinion!
What I find funny is that he's saying he grew up with Batman: TAS, which was inspired(and even adapted part of) meaney bobini Frank Miller's Dark Knight Returns.

"Steal my art from my Patreon"
Sooo, if I go to his Patreon and pay to see and download his art, then show it to others (y'know, to make the artist even more known... because he really wants that), he considers that stealing? I paid for that shit.

Amazing to think how out of touch is Dobson's understanding of how the internet works. If he really believes that putting his work on Patreon is going to make it inaccessible to everyone else, then he is more of a deluded fool than I thought. There are far better, more talented artist on Patreon that also have their exclusive work leaked out and don't act this way because they understand the nature of the beast that is the internet, plus it is a way to get free promotion without the artist having to do anything. The logic behind Patreon is that the artist gets a monthly revenue that allows him to create such art instead of working on something else. The money is the vehicle for such art to be created more frequently and just because it is distributed outside of Patreon, it does not stop belonging to the artist. Art cannot be considered stolen if the artist still holds the original files and copyright of the piece and no illicit profit is derived from it, Patrons don't pay to own the art, they pay to facilitate the creation of said art by helping the artist.

The very act of uploading an image to a website means that the artist is giving permission for said image to be "reproduced" digitally so it can be viewed by people who access Patreon, and even if it is distributed outside of Patreon, that is where Creative Commons enters into effect (if the artist chooses to use it) where basically the art can be given certain limitations to its distribution, but for the most part it is to protect the art from being modified or used for commercial purposes. There is no stealing to be have if the art is distributed non profit since the money given to artists in Patreon are basically donations nor are his ownership rights relinquished. ( And I highly doubt anyone will want to use Dobson's art to produce anything marketable without his consent.)

Which makes it that much more ironic than him, of all people, would complain about others stealing his art when he tried to used a copyrighted image of the Big Ben without the original photographer's consent to create a piece of merchandise Dobson wanted to sell for profit, that is the very definition of stealing someone's art.

Technically you're not supposed to really make any sort of money off of other's work, but it really is only enforced if you're mass producing physical stuff and the people who refuse it tend to have more of a moral guidance.

But then again, between Dobson's natural assholishness and him getting excited at artists making 24k a month for drawing Frozen fanart, he can't resist. Many art sites respect artists and don't allow uploads of paywalled stuff. It's still using Patreon wrong.

The more you think about it, the more levels on which Dobson is a complete fucking idiot. I suppose it shouldn't bother me that a complete loser like Dobson would attack an artist with more talent in his fingernail clippings than 10 Dobsons. But it kind of does.

Almost every Batman work post-1989 has been inspired by DKR in some manner, but the connection with the Animated Series is not particularly strong. The Animated Batman is much more moral than Miller's take on the character.

Even twitter's trolling dobson

As far as we've seen, Dobson doesn't live anywhere near the Nintendo World Store that their amiibo stock would matter to him. Why in the world would he be frustrated?
Unless he thinks that this is something literally happening to everyone using the app.

Hey guys, remember in his Patreon video when he said to think of it as a TIP JAR? I guess by TIP JAR he actually meant EXCLUSIVE SECRET ART CLUB.
