Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Kamala Harris is doing damage control.

No, she thought she was in charge. lol
Wow, Republicans are concerned about actual issues and dems are concerned about their fellow Americans. I've never felt so apart from the dems. I'm concerned about zero of their issues.
Dems are concerned about media talking points. What a surprise.
Did they inform Biden what he was signing off on? Or just wave a bowl of pudding in front of him saying "just one more to sign, then it's pudding time!"
Or:
MIC: Hey Joe, how about we bomb Syria today?
Joe: What?
MIC: Bomb Syria.
Joe: Who?
MIC: Syria. S.Y.R.I.A.
Joe: I can't find my pants.
MIC: Just sign here.
Joe: Okay. Can I have my fruit cup now?

I have this cognitive dissonance thing going on--I know he can't possibly comprehend what's going on, yet I believe if he had a 1/4 of his marbles left he would be fine with it. So he's responsible, yet not responsible. Maybe this was the plan all along.

60 Minutes had a segment on the atrocities of Syria's dictator last Sunday and an airstrike occurs not one week later?

I'm sure it is just a coincidence.

Just another excuse for Biden to do it remotely.

I'd be more worried for Trump at CPAC, make sure his back has extra armor on it.

Luckily he is still entitled to Secret Service protection as a former President, one of the reasons they hoped to convict Trump with impeachment was to revoke this protection because it doesn't apply to those convicted and removed from office.

If Syria stabilizes, they'll have nobody to bomb, and provide the people opposing middle eastern involvement with evidence that the area can actually sort its own shit out.

Well we still have a partial presence in Iraq even though the pro-Iran controlled government does want us gone and we still have some involvement in Afghanistan, one way or another Biden will be sure we maintain our Forever War because the Uniparty demands it.

Geez, this Syria stuff seems kind of important. I wonder what the front page of cnn.com will be.

Huh. It's about (1) MORE COVID fearmongering, (2) the Proud Boys, and at best (3) Biden "using a scalpel instead of a sledgehammer". Well then.

Never thought i would see 2,000 pound bombs compared to scalpels.

What threat does Syria pose to the U.S exactly?
Real talk, Russia gets warm water port to threaten Mediterranean shipping and all of Europe.

Problem: this is Cold War 1 logic. It’s nice and all to keep Russia’s nuclear subs bottled up in the Black Sea, but given how we’re no longer in a Seven Days to the Rhine scenario; I really just think the strategic thinking on Russia should be Arctic based instead of Europe based because that’s likely where the battles will be.

the real battle will be europe because it's next door and the euros have gone soft thanks to globalization.

I’d guarantee the EU cucks to Russia and leaves the US out to dry. This ain’t “turn western Europe communist” Russia anymore. They don’t give a fuck about invading France, they want Arctic oil and former clay in the Caucasus.

if rus wants anything it'll be the minerals and vitamins in china.

How will America's weapons system hold up? Because the civilian planes made by Boeing are literally falling out of the sky because of underskilled labor, and war has got to be a lot harder on things than routine civilian life.

I feel like there's got to be an analogy in history for when a supposedly overwhelming force is severely compromised due to constant cost cutting and politicing trumping effectiveness concerns. Maybe the M-16 rifles America used during Vietnam? I don't think we have nearly the edge in tech that they say we do.

The multinational corporations that control our government need the eastern part of its territory to build an oil pipeline to Europe, which the swamp foreign policy community approves of because it also undercuts Eastern European reliance on Russian fuel.

the max8s are boeing's problems. the recent engine failures are the airlines problem (bad maintenance). if we have to do any homefront rationing like ww2, this country will fall apart.
