Conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh dies at 70

Conservative talk show radio host and Republican party icon Rush Limbaugh has died. He was 70 years old.

His wife Kathryn announced his passing on his radio show Wednesday, saying Limbaugh died earlier this morning.

“Rush will forever be the greatest of all time,” she said.

Limbaugh had been battling advanced lung cancer since February.

Back in October, Limbaugh provided this somber update on his show: “You know, I wake up every day and thank God that I did. I go to bed every night praying I’m gonna wake up. I don’t know how many of you do that, those of you who are not sick, those of you who are not facing something like I and countless other millions are.”

Former President Donald Trump awarded Limbaugh the Medal of Freedom during his most recent State of the Union address

This appearance only a few days after his he revealed his diagnosis on his show.

“I can’t help but feel that I’m letting everybody down with this, but the upshot is that I have been diagnosed with advanced lung cancer,” Limbaugh said in February.

“The Rush Limbaugh Show” first aired in 1988.

Saul murdered thousands of Christians on behalf of the Jews but after he acknowledged what he did was wrong he became a Christian and was forgiven by God. Far worse people than Rush have repented and been forgiven for their sins.
Don't compare genocide to having a different belief... Having a different belief is much, much worse.

but I don't understand the point of gravedancing
Seems pretty fair enough to understand. Some dude flings shit at your idpol group, he dies, you crack open a beer and laugh.

The shit thats more partisan is pretty cringe, but the dude flung shit constantly. Thats the part that I find amusing because theres a lot of seeming copium in this thread about people whining about people gravedancing and then just ignoring the dude's entire career.

As others have mentioned, Rush Limbaugh's entire career served one purpose alone: to corral anti-liberal sentiment and opposition to progressives and leftists into a political dead-end. Even the Republicans knew this. As to my personal opinion on the man himself, never liked him or his talking points but appreciated he was yet another target for adamant shitlibs to screech about.

celebrating gay people dying from AIDs
You're asking me to weep tears in a world of POZ, gift givers, Drag Queen Story Hour and FCKH8. I could pick apart this point, but I'd rather let these gentlemen express themselves in song:

being a racist piece of crap
Now that is an outright lie. Rush kept White Americans from thinking about race, not making them racially conscious. There wasn't anything racist about him.

Such a Christian attitude right there. Jesus would be so happy with you

Let's not because then as a straight white male I'd get compared to your retard ass

Yeah, fair. Having a giggle and a laugh is fine I agree - I guess I mean more the people who absolutely, absolutely obsess over it. Like, when RGB dropped off, the crab rave shit was fucking funny - but then a month later, people were still fucking seething about her.

Everyone tries to lionize "their guys" in death, or dramatically overstates their contributions to the world. To me that's just as stupid as sitting there and getting mad for weeks on end over a pundit or celebrity or whatever kicking the bucket that you didn't like.

Such a Christian attitude right there. Jesus would be so happy with you

Sowing the black seed in the field of the world
He journeyed deep into the desert's darkness
To consume hallucinogens for his ill charades
Bread of stones is the lie of the tempted

With his baptized dick the son of pork played
Alone with drugs he lived for over fourty days
He fasted not for the sake of temptation
Nomadic urges controlled the junkie's life

The fig tree stood dead taunting Judaea
Into timeless famine the pale horse fell
The inseparability of Judeo-Christianity
Permitted the corruption of man

An inverted cross is hewed on his face

Christ, faggot, fondler of manhood
Christ, faggot, fondler of manhood

The river of Jordan, a cesspool of scabs
Lord almighty prays for the cleansing
And purification of his intruded anus

Drag queens and gays are pretty cringe now,

but theres a difference between the gays in the 90s being effeminate and gay but largely keeping to themselves and conservatives trying to poke holes in their wounds or send them to pray away the gay camps, and the screeching that we have today when noone is doing that but somehow we are "literally even more oppressed". Honestly, neocons making fun of gays for getting aids and other shit in the 90s caused a huge backlash in the public mind a few years later and basically gave the more fringe elements of the lgbt a blank excuse to troon out today and be beyond criticism, so in a way- people like Limbaugh are partially responsible for how people today so desperately want to avoid bigotry.

This backlash narrative is overstated. It would have happened regardless.

The blank check is granted solely by ideological control over the media and other institutions. If this were not the case, then the backlash over TDS and various anti-Republican hand-wringing would be nothing short of apocalyptic.

I just want to say that it's very sad that this person I have zero personal connections to died.
Now let me make it all about myself and how moral I am for treating this death seriously unlike those evil libtards.

Like, when RGB dropped off, the crab rave shit was fucking funny

Agreed. I enjoyed those memes. Its honestly less because of what RBG was (I still think she was an old hag bitch) but more because of the cult that formed surrounding her.

If you actually look at the woman, she barely said anything publically, and what she did say publically made a fair amount of sense. Ie, she actually called Kapernick dumb and stupid and criticized blm https://www.cnn.com/2016/10/10/politics/ruth-bader-ginsburg-colin-kaepernick, called Trump a faker and that he was making it up as he went along (I think relative to what we saw with the boomer sperg on capital hill, and him abandoning them, thats a fair take in retrospect), and otherwise just had pretty normie reactions to things.

Really the only people who should of had a beef with her personally were evangelicals upset about abortions, but to be fair, unless youre a religious tard- who gives a fuck about dead babies and thots.

It was more her rabid cult that personally irked me, and shit like this photo constantly happening, when really she hadn't done anything for like 30 years in the supreme court and even with that in mind, liberals just lost their shit with the "OMG YAAAAAAS QUEEN" nonstop over someone who was basically senile at the end, and actually somewhat consistent in being a classical liberal, contrary to their memory hole embracing ways.

Thats where it did get funny with the gravedancing, because it did offend these people in an amusing way to shit on their golden "feminist" calf.

The elements of RBG that are condemnable are that she gambled on Hillary winning because she wanted the first women president to appoint her replacement, was incredibly conceited for thinking this was at all prudent, and then when Hillary lost whined about the situation she put herself into and then demanded that Trump not replace her/ had to put the entire liberal side nation on the debacle of having to hope that she would live past the Trump presidency.

Any sane supreme court justice, if they were worried about a partisan court, would have just retired during Obama's first term, when he actually controlled government and before the midterm elections, but we couldn't have that.

Either or, I do think it was funny to gravedance with RBG just because it triggered the liberal cult that surrounded her (Look friends, the liberals are forming themed street gangs with their own costume-uniforms, another sign that robocop is coming true!) , but considering she otherwise kept a pretty low profile and didn't fling shit- if it wasn't for that cult just asking to be trolled, it would have probably been uncalled for unless you are anal about abortions.

Limbaugh on the other hand? Dude was just asking to be gravedanced.

Couldn't care less about him dying because I never listened to the guy, so I don't have a dog in this fight. He was a very flawed man; he was an asshole, but he also was a philanthropist (and not the attention seeking kind) - not a very black and white picture (like every other human).

I do find it really weak that all these people who are grave dancing have probably never listened to his show, or at best, only watched/listened to out-of-context clips. Hence why I don't have an opinion other than, "Lol, both sides are taking this shit too seriously."
I feel bad for his family, who has to deal with losing a loved one. I personally know cancer is a monster that, if it doesn't kill the person afflicted, usually leaves them crippled in some way, shape or form.

I disagree they just hate Limbaugh because he was the first big conservative personilty. it was because of him you got people like Ben Shapiro, Steven Crowder and Glen Beck. That's way they hate him also he had actually sense of humor unlike them.

Rush specifically said that mocking people for dying of aids was wrong and that he shouldn't have done it. Why are Liberals so obsessed with mean things people said decades ago and apologized for?
You should probably feel disdain over the guy, even if you side more with the conservatives, considering a lot of todays arguments on letting the troons do literally w.e they want are based on shit like "Limbaugh and other neocons were mean to gays in the 90s, so now the gays of today are beyond any criticism".

Rush was basically a monkey who slung shit from his cage and is shocked that there would be a backlash against that, and the people who cheered him on as "YEEEEE FUCK POLITICAL CORRECTNESS, FAGS DIE OF AIDS LOL" were also pretty retarded not to see that that would backfire greatly on them. Not that political correctness is good, its something I would say is pretty bad- but just, there are also really fucking stupid ways to react to it as well that will just put you two steps further back for a couple seconds of laughter.

I'm the one who got negrates removed from A&H. It happened right here.

The only reason I did this is because I was concerned that my friend @Hollywood Hulk Hogan was getting too many hurtful negrates from you people and wanted to shield his fragile ego from them.
Aw geez, since we're airing the dirty laundry I also have a confession to make.

Not too long ago I acquired a curious relic: a preserved monkey paw. All but one finger had broken off, and the owner of the shop was eager to be rid of it. Everyone knows the legend of the monkey's paw, but I don't think anyone actually believes it. I certainly didn't, until I spoke aloud my wish and the final finger broke off.

Let me state now, before revealing my wish, that this was not done with malice. I did not believe what I wished for would come to pass, because I do not believe in silly things such as magic or wishes. I am a man of science, or at least I was. I still remember grinning, ear to ear, when I jokingly said: "I wish all republicans were secretly on HRT."

It was a joke, I thought it was a funny idea. Imagine the sheer volume of images of troons in wheat fields being uploaded every day, truck nuts replaced with truck labia, and also a sudden and alarming peak in black guys with white """"""""""""""""girlfriends""""""""""""""""""""". These ideas made me laugh, damn me for ever laughing at the horror I've inflicted upon this world.

I was in denial after the paw broke, but deep down I knew what I had done. I received confirmation upon the very fair and completely legal defeat of the perpetual loser, Donald Trump, in the 2020 election. The entire republican party was behaving now as though they were all women. They claimed fraud, and threatened the United States with violence but, just like women, these threats were empty and they only ever sat on their asses while making catty comments.

Soon after, the weeping began. A constant stream of tears dripping down beards onto MAGA t-shirts. These were men once, look what I had done to them. Even now, in threads like this, the punchline to that sick joke continues to echo into the future. Men, now with budding breasts and a growing interest in dresses, simpering publicly over the loss of a "hunky dad." I can't stop them, I've tried warning them, advising them to stop drinking tap water, but the paw messed with their minds. They've all been partially bimbofied, and addicted to estrogen, they don't even notice that they're changing.

These days I stay at home, hiding from the living ma'ams- What's that? Someone's at the door! Ye gods, its a republitroon! They want to dress up as like sexy nuns and read the Turner Diaries to my children at the local library! They're doing it to "own the libs, trigger the libs." Oh cruel fate, this is my comeuppance!
