Also, Waco's a tricky thing in that while the left have SLOWLY came around to confessing to the idea that the ATF fucked up big time; they still blame Koresh for the deadly fire and more to the point, justify/handwave it because "Koresh was raping children". And the fallout from the Waco Siege (and Ruby Ridge) led to the Oklahoma City bombing, which the left really doesn't want to repeat since the horror of Oklahoma City had a chilling effect on the government and forced them to back off going after the militia movement as hard as they did; out of fear that heavy handed activities would inspire more lone wolf terror attacks. See the Bundy family antics, where Obama EXPLICITLY wanted to slaughter them, but ultimately did nothing because his advisors were smart enough to see the hell it would unleash if Obama used drones or troops/law enforcement to kill the Bundy family and their supporters to make an example out of them.

Burn through all their food within a week, most cities don't have deep stocks of food for their relative population levels. For fun and games, block the major roads into a major city, cut the rail lines and then take out the power. The cities would be burning in less than a week once the EBT cards stop working. You wouldn't even have to blockade a city for long, once the unrest reaches a bad enough point the freight will stop running into the cities all on its own, truckers would stop running freight out of a sense of self preservation.

I wish people would stop with the drone strike meme, the US has spent the better part of the last two decades proving that you can't drone strike people into submission. And if they just start bombing random farmhouses, the rest of the world will quietly start distancing themselves from that. Even then, you need to hold the territory you gain or else you won't have it for long. There's just too much territory to cover for the Blue States to beat down the Red States. Furthermore, with US military power out of the equation Europe will be pulled into a war with Russia, China will likely consolidate their rule in Hong Kong and Taiwan before going after Japan, Korea, etc. and Iran will likely start trying to form a coalition to wipe out Israel. It will be interesting to see what happens as the world goes back to being multi-polar instead of everything being dominated by one superpower. I think China would be able to consolidate but even now I struggle to imagine them being able to project their power beyond the Pacific. I also have a hard time imagining France or the UK rolling over easily once the threat becomes immediately apparent, despite everything the French are proud of being French and the UK still maintains a standing military.

Euros love to shit on America. They're not one big, happy family and a Blue America that's willing to start randomly killing its own people because they might be a threat? That's not going to play well and they're not going to be able to black it out. If they're willing to blow up random farmhouses, they'll be willing to fuck over anyone. Someone will use it to their advantage, maybe Russians, whatever.

The reality on the ground in America is that something like just shy of 1/3 of the American population owns north of 400,000,000 fire arms, and those are just the ones background checked for, and god knows how many billions of rounds of ammunition. Most of that is concentrated in rural/red areas. If 1% of that group decides to be ungovernable, the Feds can't effectively do shit about it. The harder they crack down, the larger that group will grow. There's not that many law enforcement officers in the US, and the Feds can't rely on the local LEOs. And who are the Feds going to recruit from? Their urban populations?

There isn't anyone for the Blues to stage coups against and outside the cities, the Reds/Rurals hold almost all the cards. The Blues could be crushed by farms simply underproducing and freight drivers not making runs into the cities. The cities would be on fire, the Blues would be personally experiencing the joys of diversity, and the Reds will be sitting around their dinner tables, maybe sharing an Amish made pie, while shaking their head at the burning cities and simply saying "shame." You can't operate from the assumption that the Blue side is hyper competent when the real issue is that the Red side has been betrayed and trained by grifters into not acting.
