No, yeah, threatening suicide to garner sympathy and attention has to be the easiest and quickest way for me to give you a "shitty person" rating and stop giving a single shit about you. Like, there's a huge difference between saying something like "I really don't feel well" and making it sound like you're about to throw yourself off a bridge.

Also, it cracks me up that for all his efforts, he only got a handful of people who took the bait. His fanbase really has stopped giving a shit about him. Just look at this poll:

I just realized, despite the overwhelming number of people saying they wouldn't support Dobson, there's still 259 people saying they'd give him varying amounts of money.
When you actually add everything up, he'd get 1177 dollars by these people (and that is assuming the 59 guys that said 9+ dollars only pay 9 dollars) if it was true.

But in reality, he only gets 110ish bucks by 40ish people... and for the longest time, it was only two dozen people and 80 bucks.
Obviously, the people partaking in such tolls are trigger happy when it's about hypothetical situations, but the moment, they have to put their money down, they suddenly have better things to do with it.
It's a thing of beauty to realize Dobson's fans are as dedicated towards Dobson as Dobson is dedicated towards his fans.
I think that's why it bugged people more. He's not like ADF or @ThonisSH, who does it regularly, so people took him seriously.
Also, just cause a shitton of people do it doesn't make it any less disgusting. If anything, it tells us there's a shitton of truly despicable people out there, trying to garner sympathy by really vile manipulation.

Yeah, but usually it doesn't get this much of a response. Of course, the fact that it's in the lolcow board and got featured probably helped, too.

I'm gonna try and not power level again, but to put it in a less... rant-y sense, suicide does hit home to me, so I guess there was just a part of me that was legitimately concerned about Dobson's well being, even though I was, like, 98% sure that he was just throwing a bit Twitter pity party.

I suppose I really shouldn't be surprised by this behavior. Dobson's an attention whore and an egocentric bitch, so now I'm just wondering when his Patreon drags down to the point where he'll do something stupid like this again to try and bolster his numbers from what few legitimate followers he still has.

I do want to say this, though. His past tweets did seem eerily prophetic, because anyone who suicide baits truly has #noshame.

The mental gymnastics made him conclude that virtually all of the "I can't contribute" numbers came from the trolls. And then he just added up the rest of the results and took a estimate of $1,115 per month as basically promised. $1,115 isn't a bad supplement to any job but Dobson really was flat-out deluded to think his followers would pledge enough to surpass at the very least a minimum wage job.

I don't know how he accepts the barely $100 a month reality. With lots of tears and enough to set aside for new Nintendo games, I guess.

I wonder what is his family's take in all of Dobson's antics, especially this last one. Do they even care at this point? I would not be surprised to know that his behavior is so reprehensible for the rest of the family tree that they'll want nothing to do with him.

Like the old saying goes: "You reap what you sow."

This is #optimistic, but alittle bit of counseling could potentially do him a world of good.

I was always under the impression that in order for counseling to do shit you had to accept that you're a fallible human being and have things you could improve on. You know, like everyone else. That part might be a bit difficult for Dobbles.

Well, I didn't really think he'd do it, but it's still kind of a relief to see he's not that pathetic to off himself over inconsequential twitter-shenanigans...

However, suicide baiting is really shitty behaviour and I certainly hope Dobs is not going to live this one down so easily.
Dobs, I am disappoint.

Either way, let's hope he actually uses his time offline to do something about his shitty life, but 10 internet bucks say he's going to play splatoon while gorging himself on icecream and chicken nuggets.

Do we have a betting pool what his first tweet is going to be?
Basically what other people have said, but I'm also gonna add the possibility of #splatoon into the mix.

If Dobby was serious, he'd delete all of his accounts. Instead, we'll be back to Splatoon tweets by this time next week.
Or maybe a miiverse comment on Splatoon. If that's the case, I'll try to post it here. I don't have that much time to play Splatoon but I'll check whenever I can if Dobs has done something new there.

I wasn't worried he was going to kill himself. I've seen too many SJWs pull this shit.

Even if he did (he doesn't have the balls), you needn't worry - he'd just fuck that up, too.
