Suicide is depressingly common so it's hard to make blanket statements about suicides, there are so many of them that there are bound to be exceptions to any statement... having said that my understanding is that, while people who actually commit suicide do often talk about killing themselves as an option, they very rarely say "I'm going to do it today/right now".
 
Any chance he's still gonna get that 72 hours? I mean, the cops showed up at his house and he didn't tweet anything other than that he wasn't dead.

People keep saying this, however, most of the genuine fans Dobson has are probably SJW types. Threatening suicide because you feel slightly sad or upset is a common thing on tumblr. Some tumblrinas have suicide baited dozens of times and it never seems to phase their friends or followers. I don't think this will do anything to deter these people. They don't care.

^ You know you really need to reassess your priorities when you not only regularly threaten suicide, but nobody gives a shit when you do.
 
Dobson does genuinely need to take a break from the internet. He needs to take a good, long break from the internet with a good, long bout of *actual* therapy and introspection.
Sadly, chances are he'll be back within a week or two just as whiny and self-entitled as ever... just like last time he "took a break from the internet".
 
So many people don't realize that "self-care" (especially via venting on the Internet) is usually the thing that hurts them the most.
