From the 2000s to maybe the early 2010s and a little later, Paradox had a mostly right-wing (if not far-right) fanbase. The mods tended to be more serious, and there was less drama. I stopped playing paradox when they started to DLC-whore badly with Crusader Kings 2, so I never saw this 'transition'. A troon takeover was absolutely unthinkable in say 2010. What the hell happened? I had read somewhere that Paradox was trying to purge more right-wing members from it's official forum but I never saw it.

It just fucking sucks that so much cool ideas have went to waste due to incompetent management. Like if this was from the get go not treated like MUH SERIOUS WRITING PROJECT it could have had some really cool shit. Just hoping a new team picks this up and continues it without the dumb gayops. And if the person who may work on this future continuation, please add the DSR I just want to be the German Pol Pot and kill 6 gorillion huns.

I figure many similarly to me couldn't stand the DLC milking that Paradox started to pull (yes, yes I get you're making a joke). At one point Crusader Kings 2 cost $150 for the game + all mods + music + portraits. It got insane. Paradox used to have great forums also. Most of the posters were very knowledgeable about history, and the After Action Reports had some creative scenarios. Really great mods (Victoria Improvement Project, others).

But I had noticed more nerd-tier mods like Game of Thrones had been made, so perhaps that was the writing on the wall..

Well, I gotta admit, when this topic was first made I was suspicious of most posters being butthurt about the world being a total shithole after a Nazi victory (Still think a lot of people here are, got that vibe from several posts), but I chalked that up to me actually liking the mod quite a bit, so I kept my tongue silent.

But these recent posts have certainly justified this topic's creation.

Well done.

Still like the mod and hope development doesn't fucking halt because of this but I can get entertainment through drama or gameplay, so no matter what, I win.
