Does Dobson think about anything but lesbians and video games? Imagine him going to McDonald's to get his daily 12 pack of nuggets, or filling up his gas tank. Does he just start seem inanimate object as girls as a way to deal with his "crippling" PTSD? I've never seen someone so obsessed with them as he is, and bizarrely I don't even know if it's that sexual because he hinted at being bi before. Is he doing this as a way to hide that?

It's sexual. The hint at being bi was just a single ambiguous tweet, which I think was more about wanting to signal queer-friendliness than any genuine attraction to men. (And he's probably long forgotten about it) But even if he was bi, bi men are still attracted to women, and still perfectly capable of the whole lesbian-fetish thing.

I've said it before, but it's worth repeating that all the Catty N stuff was girl-girl.

How exactly is it the easiest to do? How is changing the sex of your main character in a long-standing franchise easy?

I'm actually going to *shudder* defend Dobson here, and say that, thinly veiled lesbian fetish aside, the reason it's easiest is because the Zelda franchise sorta doesn't have any continuity, despite what Nintendo spergs will try to tell you by stitching it together into a bloody awful mess of a timeline. It's the one nintendo franchise most well suited to total reboots of characters, places, and such because it never keeps anything fucking consistant anyway.

Sorta like a Dobson comic!

I actually facepalmed. I can already see it. Islands of busty lesbian tribeswomen of color. Shit like that. It's just a thinly veiled fetish fantasy and/or the attempt to garner sympathy for being "progressive" and "inclusive".
And of course, every female character will be more capable at anything she does than a male counterpart. We don't want the patriarchy in this comic, so women have to excell at everything at all times.

Wait a minute. Hold on a second. Ratgirl has a personality? :heart-empty:

Dobson - English translation: "I don't want sausage in my Taco-Buffet!"
No seriously, why would he take the one thing that might be remotely interesting about the character interaction and ditch it?
Well, he doesn't want some prickly-wicklies for his characters, of course. No conflict. No disturbances. Just his two lesbians frolicking and doing lesbian shit girl things without the vile touch of men compromising everything.

Yeah, but the only thing Dobson wants is fem-Link scissoring Zelda. It's not "It might be interesting to change it up a bit" it's a hundred percent unadultured Fetish-bullshit.

Linklu is/was a rejected character that was a Rule 63 Alternate Universe Link in Hyrule Warriors that is probably going to be released in DLC. Unfortunately for Dobson, his "now I don't have to worry about having gay feelings for Link" savior is going to be in a game where she fights monsters with a crossbow.

So apparently this is a wallpaper?

How are they not falling? What is perspective? How is that...thing between ratgirl and token straight guy leaning backwards?
The roof(?) they're sitting on looks flat as fuck. And that cloud filter.

I'm not an art critic as I draw worse than the xkcd guy, but something about how the town is drawn looks... off. It looks like all of those buildings would look fucking weird if you were actually at level with them instead of looking at them from a distance.

Dobson, I'm gonna say this very, very slowly and clearly.

Of all the things that generally define a character and make them and their universe interesting and cause readers to be invested, their fucking sexual orientation is the last thing I think about.

So well said, sadly to deaf ears. Granted this has been said before, it's not a project for him, it's just a weird fetish that he's trying to pass his own kink off as a show for kids or something.

Again, Dobbo's Korra lesbian fapping comes to the fore: "I don't want a well-crafted comic, complete with a good story! Just give me a dyke soap-opera!"

I do wonder if he is into Korra because the couple is bisexual and he thinks they would really appreciate him as their strong protector and let the blue bear into the bedroom to watch?

Oh I must've missed that one. The ones I've seen were his character wearing elven armor with those godawful faces.

I just can't really imagine how you can't kill in Skyrim, or at least be forced to kill in order to survive. Sure you can run away, but what about boss fights?

That photoshopping between the village and the sea... oh derp, and why are the characters having a red shine on them? Is it the power of Lesbos filling them?

Well, I checked Youtube's twitter and they either deleted whatever stirred the mighty blockor's wrath (which I think is rather unlikely) or ... well...
It's this:

I know it's like a broken record, but can this assclown finally grow a pair of balls. Jesus.
"Oh no! I had to look at some strange food! Woe is me!" ... really?

I hope he blocked Youtube in time before developing Surströming-PTSD as well.

Isn't that that really smelly Swedish fish?

I think we may need to send him some!

Yep. Apparently, a Photoshop subscription and a Mac make you a full-fledged artist. All those hacks using Sai, Gimp, or Mangastudio on their PCs are just slumming it. Despite creating amazing pieces of art using "subpar" software.

In all seriousness though, a good chunk of artists seem to use Sai for painting and drawing, and then use Photoshop to add certain effects.

He is too much of an Apple dick rider to even consider doing so, despite the fact that Photoshop, while powerful, is not an specialized tool for digital painting. Manga Studio is a far more powerful tool for artist since it has a lot of the functions PS has but far better brush engine and more versatile functions specific to the needs of an illustrator. That said such a program would be wasted on Dobson since the Fill Bucket is the extend of his "painting" nuance.

Link is barely a character; he's more like a vague caricature of badassery, embodied with a couple recognizable characteristics. The purpose is that people playing the games can easily project themselves onto the protagonist and feel immersed in the adventure.

If you throw away those recognizable characteristics, the players' preconditioned ability to automatically immerse themselves is lost. A lot of players will immediately hate the game for violating something which was personal to them. You may lose brand loyalty which you tended in them since they were toddlers.

I think it would alienate fewer people if they made Link a woman than if they gave him different clothes, say, a fuzzy sweater or a fedora. But why would it be worth it to alienate anyone, just to make a small, pointless change to an already basic character? (The only possible point I can think of is to exploit female stereotypes for some reason - but since Link is a blank slate character it still makes no sense.)
