That's my guess. Hell, this sounds like he didn't really "sign" anything but has once more given them an ultimatum. Perhaps the MSM jumped the gun by saying he signed it? It wouldn't be the first time they got shit wrong, that's for sure.

Cernovich has been waiting for his moment to finally call out Trump and own the Trumptards. He's currently losing his shit over this atm, along with his Twitter base. The Never Trump base steadily grows, I guess.

Overall, it makes no sense for Trump video himself calling it out, call out the GOP institutions for not fighting hard enough, and then cuck. Also with 230, it's fucking baffling that no one in his inner circle, especially if they're young and tech-savvy, have told him that obliterating 230 will literally be the biggest owngoal.
 
Trump is setting up Mitch to die a double death politically with this 1974 act and his recent backstabbing swamp ways with telling senators not to object January 6th. either Mitch caves and cuts some pork for the extra money or it will all be on the senate and congress for not listening to the people’s outrage.

I do wonder if he leaned on Mitch to tell him to back off on fighting challenges on January 6th, there’s no way that isn’t part of the deal now since Trump really doesn’t have anything to lose right now. What, CNN will cry some more? The horror.

Moreover, why is he trusting the legislative branch to the most important facets of the bill to vote on? The $2000 payments, Section 230, and voter fraud? He realizes these are the things they are trying to avoid, right?

I really hope he knows what he's doing/has done with this. Guess we find out tomorrow.

I...really don't know how he thinks he can get them to do any of that. Frankly, it would've been a much stronger move for him to straight up threaten to veto the bill unless they cut the pork and upped the relief to American citizens. He's essentially a lame duck anyway, so there's no reason for him not to.

So, why cave? Did Mitch whisper into his ear and say that if they didn't pass this, it would threaten the electoral prospects of the Georgia twins in the upcoming runoff? Because I can guarantee you the Republicans publicly saying they don't want to give every American $2000 and instead send billions to foreign nations and special interests is far more likely to cost them the Georgia runoffs than getting this shit bill vetoed. And that's before any 4am mass ballot dumps that are coincidentally 100% for the Dem candidates.

This is not the first time he has caved on something critical like this, way back in 2018 he caved on an Omnibus spending bill.

That statement by him is just damage control.

That's got to be it. Mitch promised him something in exchange for signing the Bill. Unfortunately he signed? the Bill without realizing that McConnell isn't a turtle he's a snake. Congress will talk about all the stuff Trump wants but do nothing about it. They appeased their corporate parameters, that's all they care about.

Just so I can get this straight in my mind:

If Trump vetoes the bill, it can be passed anyway by a 2/3 majority.
If Trump vetoes the bill, he'll be blamed for gov't shutdown and people not getting any money.
If Trump signs the bill but redlines it and asks for 600 to be changed to 2k, Congress can agree or disagree; it's likely the bill still passes intact.

Seems to me this is throwing the mess back to Congress and making them solely responsible for the stinking pile of garbage bill. It also seems to me that the ire is being thrown in the wrong direction. Congress wrote the bill, passed it without reading it, and filled it with pork. But let's keep blaming Trump for everything.
