Emergency Coronavirus Relief Act of 2020

I do love the narrative that the MSM is pushing right now that TRUMP is the one blocking the Corona aid relief.

Because it's technically true, but they're pushing it like Trump is "ignoring" (word I've seen used) helping the American people and not because he thinks the bill is insufficient or that it's full of bullshit.

Nope, Trump just hates Americans and wants to punish them out of spite for losing the election. That's what's happening. It's Trump's fault that we citizens aren't getting our $600 checks and we will starve to death because of Trump.

“Congressional approval ratings are always low” is not a valid defense anymore. It was always going to come back to bite them eventually, and while the uniparty will remain this is exactly the situation that will breed ever growing discontent. The other factor is this “sanctuary city/state/county” pattern that’s cropping up. It all started with democrats deciding they won’t follow federal immigration laws, but what happens when red counties decide they won’t follow federal gun laws - as some are now refusing to follow lockdown laws? And what about other laws we cannot yet imagine?

It isn’t a revolt, it’s a breakdown of enforcement. Who cares what congress or state legislatures say when nobody is going to arrest anyone for failing to obey their mandates? It soon becomes a breakdown of the preexisting state, and perhaps its replacement with something else. Where will the uniparty be then? In control? In the gallows? I can’t answer, but I wouldn’t like to roll the dice on where a given politician would end up. Simply put, this is how nations die and Congress losing its legitimacy completely will happen if it keeps thinking business can go back to normal. Neither the populist right nor the populist left are going to stand for this shit much longer.
All we need is to get trashed in a near peer war. Getting embarrassed on the global stage in war is the last Rubicon to cross.

I don't see the problem, Americans want to be locked down. In fact 80 million of them voted for a guaranteed extention 6 weeks ago.

Maybe it really is a case of "people get the government they deserve". If you can't be bothered to do the research on the Chinese virus and the negative effects the lockdowns have (which isn't even partisan, the WHO admits it causes skyrocketing inequality and poverty and mental illness) enough to not vote for the guy who promises more of that, you're going to get more of that. It's clearly tolerable enough to most people too since no one is organizing burning, looting, or murdering over it, a stark contrast to many places historically when totalitarianism descended over the populace for questionable reasons.

And that goes for all the people voting Republican too who make sure big money stays in politics to make the people who slipped in so much pork to this bill even harder to primary.

I'm already starting to see post election regret, especially with Trump being the one to push for $2000
I mean the Biden campaign and the media did their best to make sure no one knew what the Democrats stood for this election other than "we're the good guys" so it isn't surprising that when people start seeing it in action they're like "wait a minute".

Here's the full statement. The second half of it is where the more interesting details are: talk of redlining and rescinding the wasteful pork.

Moreover, why is he trusting the legislative branch to the most important facets of the bill to vote on? The $2000 payments, Section 230, and voter fraud? He realizes these are the things they are trying to avoid, right?

I really hope he knows what he's doing/has done with this. Guess we find out tomorrow.

Did anything even change with this? Or is it the same damn bill that's full of useless pork and a chance at giving people a few weeks of money (deliverable in three months, obviously)?

I figured he'd succumb to pressure in the end.

When they said Build Back Better they techinically didn't specify what, I guess they meant roads in Sudan and the advancement of troonery in Pakistan.
They're Building useless bureaucracy and cronyism Back Better.

He has no idea that repealing/greatly reforming Section 230 will completely fuck the internet and get everyone controversial BTFO'd. If they fuck Section 230, YOU get banned, you fucking dumbass.
