From what i know about disability benefits in canada is actually you get more if the other person isnt working even if they are full able bodied. $581 a month extra to be exact, they also get access to the free dental and drug plan. The catch is that your spouse will be added to your file and if he/she/xe is working while you are sitting around on disability they will take some of your cheque based on your spouses income because you are considered a single economic unit
