💰 Grifter StoneToss (allegedly, formerly Red Panels)

I can definitely see that, and what's worse is that a lot of people are looking at these relationships through a modern lens to classify these men as secretly gay. One recent example I argued with someone about was the idea that Lincoln was actually gay because at one time in his life, he lived with a very close friend and slept in the same bed with him when they were both in their early 20's. Now this couldn't possibly be because they were both poor and buying two beds would've been prohibitively expensive, it had to be that they were gay.

There are also lots of cultures where homosexuality is less tolerated than in the West where straight men engage in acts that we would perceive as effeminate. In Argentina, for example, it's not uncommon for two male friends and even brothers to kiss each other on the cheek as a greeting, and I'm pretty sure similar forms of male affection are pretty common in the Middle East.
I see less of it now that being gay has been essentially normalized in the United States. A few years ago, it seemed like any close friend of a historical figure was actually a gay lover.

Of course now that being anti-white is cool, instead of being considered gay, now they are considered cartoonishly and one-dimensionally evil.

It depends on who you're talking to. Normal people probably wouldn't bring it up as much, but the left wing activists desperate for any possible affirmation will try to cram it in at all times. It's like how the trannies started claiming that Elagabalus was actually transgender and not just a depraved lunatic whose every whim was catered to, or that Joan of Arc was trans because she wore armor into battle.

A similar thing happened a few years ago when certain activists tried to claim that Viking shield maidens were a warrior class in Viking society and showed that wamenz could be fighters too, and not that these were either aberrant practices or mythologized stories.

Is it really that strange that people who believe putting on a dress makes a hulking gorilla into a woman would deny reality and history?

Troons claiming Elagabalus is like when I see some basic bitch right wingers liking Caracalla and having him as an avatar on websites just because he has a funny looking disgusted face on the most well known bust of his. Both of them are considered in the top 10, if not top 5 of worst emperors in Roman history and Caracalla essentially gave amnesty to "dreamers" of that time (inb4 some sperg goes UUUUH ACKSHULLY!!! It's a joke lighten up).

Regarding warrior GRRRRRRRRLS you have them also overhyping women of the samurai class learning martial arts and claiming they were elite warriors on the same level as men. All women of the samurai class were required to learn at least how to handle the naginata, which is a glaive, in order to protect their estate while the men were off on military campaigns. Several women also distinguished themselves in siege defense situations, but only two warrior women were ever on the same level as men and that was during the Genpei war in the 12th century. Those are Tomoe Gozen and Hangaku Gozen who fought and commanded in field battles as well as sieges. The former is the much more famous one because she was on the Minamoto side of the conflict and they won.

My personal favorite is that every historical game that wants to be woke has such a shortage of female heroes that they usually include boudica, even the new 4x civ type game called old world.

Boudica is such a great female rolemodel. She led her people into battle, won a skirmish or two and then fought Romans outnumbering them to increeible degree. She even set up wagons in a semi circle behind their lines, so the kids and old people could watch the battle.

When they began to lose and wanted to flee, they couldn't because the wagons were in the way and they got more than decimated.

This is one of the best examples of female warlords in history, lol.

There's more to it than that, like his odd and distant relationship with Mary Todd Lincoln, but it's pretty unlikely he was. What's funny is you never hear LGBTQ people claim James Buchanan even though there's a lot more likelihood he actually was gay, because he was such a shit President. What really goes against Lincoln being gay is the historical record has nobody even speculating he was. Meanwhile, James Buchanan was the subject of near constant sniggering jokes about his relationship with William Rufus King.

To be fair to Lincoln, he did marry her for money, and she was by all accounts cuckoo for coco puffs.

The same thing goes for Richard the Lionhearted. Yes, it's possible that he was gay, but he did marry repeatedly and probably just liked killing more than anything else. No one goes on about how Edward II or William II were probably gay, because one lost his kingdom to his scheming French wife and the other was an unremarkable king who probably got murdered by his brother.

Richard the Lionheart was notorious for going on raping sprees, you'd think there'd be some sources saying that he split open some manass every once in a while but when you read about his exploits as a rapist it seems that every time he went through some place, whether it be his own subjects or during a war in enemy territory, he went around abducting and raping women.
