Elliot Page, the Oscar-nominated star of “Juno” and Netflix’s “The Umbrella Academy,” has announced he is transgender.

Elliot, formerly known as Ellen Page, addressed his social media followers saying:

“Hi friends, I want to share with you that I am trans, my pronouns are he/they and my name is Elliot. I feel lucky to be writing this. To be here. To have arrived at this place in my life. I feel overwhelming gratitude for the incredible people who have supported me along this journey. I can’t begin to express how remarkable it feels to finally love who I am enough to pursue my authentic self. I’ve been endlessly inspired by so many in the trans community. Thank you for your courage, your generosity and ceaselessly working to make this world a more inclusive and compassionate place. I will offer whatever support I can and continue to strive for a more loving and equal society,” he wrote.

“I love that I am trans. And I love that I am queer. And the more I hold myself close and fully embrace who I am, the more I dream, the more my heart grows and the more I thrive. To all the trans people who deal with harassment, self-loathing, abuse, and the threat of violence every day: I see you, I love you, and I will do everything I can to change this world for the better,” Page continued.
Page uses both he/him and they/them pronouns, and describes himself as transgender and non-binary, meaning that his gender identity is neither man nor woman.
Nick Adams, GLAAD’s Director of Transgender Media, said “Elliot Page has given us fantastic characters on-screen, and has been an outspoken advocate for all LGBTQ people. He will now be an inspiration to countless trans and non-binary people. All transgender people deserve the chance to be ourselves and to be accepted for who we are. We celebrate the remarkable Elliot Page today.”
Page broke out from his native Canada in 2005 with the revenge thriller “Hard Candy.” Two years later, he starred in Jason Reitman and Diablo Cody’s landmark indie “Juno,” for which Page received an Academy Award nomination among other accolades.
HIs notable roles include Kitty Pryde in the “X-Men” series, Christopher Nolan’s “Inception,” “Whip It!” and Sony’s reboot of “Flatliners.” He has produced and starred in films such as “Tallulah” and “Freeheld,” and last year marked his directorial debut examining environmental racism faced by people of color and the First Nations communities of Canada.
Prior to transition, Page was one of the most visible out gay actors in Hollywood. The Tuesday announcement further enriches his legacy, and adds him to a small but growing number of out trans creators and stars in Hollywood. This includes performers (Laverne Cox, Trace Lysette, Brian Michael Smith) and creators (The Wachowski Sisters, “Transparent” creator Joey Soloway).
Last year, Variety broke the news of the groundbreaking overall content production deal that Netflix signed with Janet Mock, a noted trans storyteller and director of shows like “Pose” and “Hollywood.”

I heard they were 2% somewhere.

Anyway my point was such a tiny blip won't cause an apocalypse.

The only reason trannies have any power is because being LGBT is trendy now.
With all LGBT surveys there's two types:

1) Surveys from activist groups that give results like 10% of people are gay, 2% trans, etc. These are criticised because these groups have a primarily LGBT audience and their intention is to overstate their demographic for more funding.

2) Government surveys which give results like 1% gay, 0.001% trans, etc which are criticised by the activist groups because apparently people are scared to tell the government their orientation.

The numbers from 2 seem much more realistic and the excuse to ignore them doesn't seem valid for most of the West.

Paedosexuals.

As has always been the plan.
Okay, so here we go.

Do you think they could initially say the kid is trans, get them on puberty blockers, and then convince the kid he/she is "neither", and then when they turn of age fuck them and have a "legal child partner" for a much longer period of time than a natural child?

I've seen a lot of guys with androgen deficiencies that basically look like children well into their 20s and 30s.

Is this the way to get legal fuckable children?

More than likely.

It's great that Hollywood now has one less lesbian and one more straight male. Heterosexual men have been under represented in the movie industry for far too long.

Jealously is the dirty little secret behind all this shit, wanting what you can't really have and being sour grapes about it.

Every black who rants about white privilege secretly wishes they were white because they think that's some easy gateway to the good life, every feminist who hates men either wishes they were the kind of woman men who would want to bang or in the case of a man hating lesbian secretly wish they were a Chad Thundercock slaying loads of pussy.

It's people who are in some way unhappy with their lot in life and think to themselves "if only I were totally different I'd be happy" not realizing that the key to true happiness is accepting yourself for who you are and not always thinking the grass is greener on the other side.

This is unfalsifiable though. Sometimes grass IS greener on the other side, and not being able to reach that other side is the definition of underprivileged. The key distinction is those who can go over to the other side and have society slobber all over their boyclit prove by doing so they weren't actually underprivileged.

I've heard of that, is it worth reading?

Yes and no.

It's human nature to wonder about the road not taken or what life would be life if you were someone different sometimes, everyone does this, the Chad partyer sometimes wonder what it would be like if we were really smart, meanwhile the smart nerd wonders what it would be like if he were the life of the party instead.

But it's only a problem when you really go whole hog into it and seethe about it and allow your jealously to turn into hatred of what you're jealous of, which only makes whatever life you do have worse.

2 percent is a little generous, isn't it?

Williams Institute at UCLA studies all thing troon and while they aren’t a wholly neutral source, their estimate is troons make up .6% of the US population, which would be around 1.9 million.

Like I said, 20 years ago saying you were gay was how boring people attention whored now it's gender shit. Eventually trannyshit will stop being special and the media will move on to something else like it always has.
Mass media influencing things to this extent is not some timeless phenomenon with cycles that can be traced back for millennia, it's something that started only recently in history.

It's alright, it's a bit heavy handed sometimes with its message but it's a fun read. The author made a browser game called Nation States back in the day too, which was a nice little add on to it.

With a lot of this identifying stuff, it seems to me like it's rich people and people who were already privileged who can get away with it and have people humour them. Dave Chapelle pointed out something similar, it's usually white people and upper class people who pull this. Working class people can't be taken seriously when they try it.

When you figure that blacks are just 14% of the population, 2% doesn't even pass the common sense test. I've seen a handful of trans people from afar (maybe 3-5) and known two in my entire lifetime. And I'm relatively old.

The modern left loves corporations, all they gotta do is slap on a rainbow or transflag, and fuck class struggle lmao
Ding ding ding!

I agree that factory farming is awful, but we evolved to eat animals and there are many ways to do it without contributing to inhumane practices. Vegans always hit the wall faster and harder than normal people.

Is this possible to recover from? If not, it's scary how people are doing irreversible harm to their bodies over a meme.

What an awkward article. Writing it must have been a legitimate pain in the ass having to juggle all the stupid fucking pronouns. And why don't they get in trouble for dead-naming her? Is it because it's suddenly "okay" to do it when the dead name is what the fame and career are attached to and the tranny wants to keep that association? Or is it just because she's a celebrity?

Netflix is retroactively changing her name in their records, though I guess that may not be directly reflected in the cast credits at the end of the movie. Still...Oceania is at war with Eastasia. Oceania has always been at war with Eastasia.

Elliot Page Will Continue to Star in ‘Umbrella Academy,’ Netflix Changes Credits on His Past Films
Edit: https://archive.is/CeDaq
Won't post the full article, but here's the relevant bit:

Netflix is also in the process of updating Page’s name in the metadata across all titles he is involved with that are available to watch on the streaming service, another insider said. Those changes should start to be reflected throughout Tuesday.
(Would have given an archive, but it took forever.)

If a woman got married and wanted to be known only by her married name, would NetFlix do this? 🤔
